Has anyone been on Lilly Belle with a tour?

We are doing bpth Walking in Walt's and the Holiday tour. Both take a train ride. Has anyone done either of these and were fortunate enough to get a ride in Lilly Belle?

I believe the only tour that offers a ride on the Lilly Belle is the VIP tour.

All you have to do is ask one of the conductors at Main St if you can ride in the Lilly Belle. If they have enough conductors to spare one to chaperone, they will let you ride.

We had dined at Club 33 and had heard that if you dined there, you could ride in the Lilly Belle. When I asked the conductor and had my Club 33 tickets ready to show, she said that anyone can ride.

We rode with Bob and he was great about telling us lots about Disneyland and the train.

We also rode in the Lily Belle by asking the conductor. We were actually trying to get into the hot seat (on the tender behind the engineers), and the conductor thought we meant the Lily Belle. We were placed with a young man, who happened to be a Dream Squad member, who was already taking a group on it!

It's quite lovely inside.

We still want to do the hot seat again, one day....

Wow, that's sad. When I did Walk in Walt's Footsteps during the summer, we got to ride in the Lilybelle. It's unfortunate if they decided to stop doing it.

That is what I had heard too. We had dined at Club 33 and thought this was the only way that we would ever get to ride the Lilly Belle!

However, the conductor we spoke to at Main St. said that as long as there are enough conductors for one to chaperone, anyone can ride in the Lilly Belle. This was the during first week of November 2008.

I was just reporting what the cast member told me. Who knows why people do what they do. Or, for that matter, how.

Oh, MY!! We were so lucky/blessed/THANKFUL that we had the opportunity to dine there in Nov. 2007 - I wish I would have known that it might have been easier to get onto the Lilly Belle with our Club 33 tickets. We asked this year (for the first time - we'd been in Disneyland in Nov. of the past 2 years prior to this Sept. trip, and don't know now how long it will be before we can get back there, sigh) if we might have a chance to ride in the Lilly Belle, but we never saw the Lilly Belle hooked up when we were there, and they told us that the Lilly Belle has to be hooked up in order for us to put in the request to the conductor. We were also told it all hinges on whether or not another person is free to ride (Disneyland CM) who can ride in that car with you.

One more dream for us to hang onto, I guess.

when we were there Oct,25,08 I asked the CM at the mainstreet stn if we could ride the Lilly Belle or were they allowing people to do that any longer.She said that comes up all the time, people are allowed to ride it and if we came back in 1 hour when all cm were finished their breaks and one could come with us then there would be no problem. However we got caught up in the fireworks crowd and didn't make it back for a few hours so we just left without going on it. Close call I would have loved it. I got excited just seeing the Lilly Belle.

I just wanted to bump this to say that we were able to ride the Lily Belle on Saturday evening, so it is possible. We just went to the Main St station and asked. We were told to come back at a certain time, when there would be somebody available to take us, and that particualr train would be coming into the station. Our guide was very nice and somewhat informative, and he took some photos of the 12 of us. It was a nice experience for our group.

We were 'dreamed' and while in line a castmember asked how many in our party...then to follow him. We were in absolute shock. Of course it was a day without a camera so we just had our phones. Still pretty darn cool!
