Has anyone been able to get a child swap for a parent without a FP if one had a FP?

I'm just trying to confirm that I can in fact make a FP for Space mountain for Dad and the bigger kids and then still get a child swap for Mom if she doesn't have a FP for Space mountain so I can take my youngest one to do something else at the same time instead of waiting around for them. TIA.

Yes, after Dad and the older kids complete their ride, Mom and 2 older kids ride on the "swap." Mom does not need a FP to ride on the "swap."

Only the people riding first have to have a fp+. In effect the rider swap pass becomes a fp+ for up to 3 people.

Thanks for the responses. Where do you get the child swap? Is it at the entrance to the line? Is it a paper pass or is it electronically put on your MB? And I assume mom would have to be there with the little one to get the child swap pass?

Paper Swap ticket at the beginning of the FP line. The CM needs to see the child.

Yes, at the entrance to the ride. They will want to see the child you're getting the rider switch pass for. It's just a paper pass and actually is good for at least all day. We were there in the middle of the month and ours were good until the last day of the month. I'm not sure if it always works that way or not, just how it was for us.

Yes that's always how we do it, FP for the first riders, the second uses the child swap. If you get FP for everyone, there's no need to do the child swap. By splitting your FPs, it allows you to get one for something the younger child will enjoy, around the same time. At least that's how we make use of it.

Most CMs will want to see the child first, and they usually won't give me the pass until they watch DH and DD physically enter the line. The only exception has been Soarin. Everytime I ask for a RS there, they just hand it to me without even looking up from their computer.
