Has anyone been able to add a studio onto a 1 bd to continue the trip as a 2 bd lock off?

We have a 1 bd booked at OKW for the beginning of Nov. in the standard view section and a 2 bd for one night in the HH category because that is all that is available. We are waitlisted for the 2 bd in the reg section. We have people joining us for the last night and want to be together. The hope is to have MS merge the studio onto our 1 bd so we don't have to move out of our room into a different 2 bd. Has anyone been able to do that?

We haven’t but we have friends who own at RIV who did the opposite. They booked the 2 BR LO for the dates they needed a 2 BR and then separately booked a 1 BR for the nights they needed. They then called MS and had the 2 reservations tied together so they didn’t need to switch rooms. It sort of worked - they got to stay in the same room but they had to recheck in (which they didn’t realize until they tried to room charge their Light Sabers at Savi’s workshop).

I doubt that it will work if you have 2 different views booked.
Several years ago we had a 1 br. savanna view booked at AKV Jambo for a couple of days followed by a 2 br. savanna view, all 2 br.s at Jambo are lock offs. I asked when we checked in if we were just adding the studio next door in a couple of days & the desk said no, we’d have to move. On ‘moving’ day I checked w/ the front desk again & they said we were moving & had to vacate the 1 br., so we shlepped our luggage down to Bell services & went off to a park. We got our room notification & they’d put us back into our original 1 br. + added the studio next door. I’d like to think that there was just a communication break down, but although we didn’t move locations, we did have to vacate the 1 br. & didn’t have access to it from 11 a.m. until we got the room ready text several hours later, but at least they’d cleaned the 1 br. .

Maybe but you have to have a lock off reserved. If you waitlisted the dedicated you would want to change that.

If is all the same view/room type, it is technically possible but not probable. The studio next to your 1BR would have to be checking out on the exact day you needed it. That could be very difficult to work out, especially on a low arrival/departure day.

Very very difficult and unlikely. We had multiple rooms booked before at both BWV and AKV and couldn't really even get near each other. They said we were near but we didn't feel like we were. Though could have been way farther apart. And we eneded up having to wait way late, like to 5pm or so, on one room to be ready. Which they claimed was because they were meeting our request to be next door (which we weren't even given).
