Has anybody successfully handed off a CRT reservation?

I have someone interested in getting my reservation and I'd really like to make sure they get it. How do we get that done? I've tried coordinating the cancellation times on other reservations but I've only had about a 50% success rate. It doesn't appear to be enough to make sure that we are online at the same time...

I can't verify that this would work, and you would need to trust the other person not to screw around with your package, but I'd think a three way conference call to the reservation line would be the safest option. You would want the receiving party to be the host, as you could get off the call before they give their CC# without any accident resulting.

But, I don't know how the reservation system works or doesn't work. If there is a system delay between the drop and pickup, it would be too easy to have an opening for some random caller to another CM to get the reservation.

Disney Dining no longer allows reservations to be transferred into another name. So even with a 3-way call, they won't do it. You have to coordinate a time to cancel the reservation and hope the other party pounces quick enough on the cancellation so that someone else doesn't get it.

I don't think you could when I made the reservation. Which would you recommend, online or CM on the phone? If it's on the phone why wouldn't they take a 3 way? I don't think we'll have any problems with coordinating the time of two calls but 3 way might work better. Thanks for the responses...

The three way call might work if you can get the CM to book the reservation for the other party immediately after you cancel it. Can't say that would be entirely foolproof though. The CM might tell you they can't do it, or there might be some technical reason why they can't rebook it immediately. The thing you can't do is transfer the same reservation to the other person's name.
