I have only seen a few seconds of this show before but opted to watch it for lack of anything better to do. How sad to sensationalize having kids so young! Okay, I really don't have much room to talk, I was 19 when I had my kiddo....but still. There is one girl who yells, screams, hits her boyfriend and blames everything on somebody else. The kids in these situations are the ones who suffer. I just want to reach through the screen and slap that girl silly. I hope her boyfriend/fiance leaves her because she is a complete HAG and he seems to try so hard.

Haven't seen it, but, I bet it would frustrate me.

I have seen this show a few times and they are showing teens the real truth about being a mom and dad. And if your talking about the dark haired girl i think you should see a few more shows before you make such a strong op about her life. the one episode were she is just tring to go back to school is very sad to me. Its not easy being a teen mom as you and i both know, hopefuly teens are seeing this. Im not at all saying i agree with how they handle things but i was 18 when i had my DS and i made my mistakes and learned from them and so did you:hug: and so will they.My DS is almost 17 now and he is the one that showed me this show it if it had not been on MTV he may not have seen it and seen how hard it is to be a Teen Mom and Dad. Thats just my OP in it.:flower3:

I can't even imagine being able to watch a few minutes of it.

I surely hope it is more of a warning show to teens, than one that glorifies having children at a young age.

I have a young relative (she's 7 now, I believe) who firmly states that she is going to have a baby when she is 18. I can only hope it's a little girl's love of dolls speaking and not a portent of things to come.

Never having seen the show, I have no room to comment, but I would like to think that there would be a legitimate way to portray the difficulties of parenthood (regardless of age) without making it seem attractive to becoming a parent as a teen. :confused3

I don't watch it- I can't. It makes me too sad. My DH and I have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now. :sad1:

 We've just past the 6 year mark (with 3 failed IVF rounds, etc.) -- I share your pain.

Have to say thanks to DD I watch the show. The girl your talking about Amber, that guy is a jerk who does not want to help her with the baby or going back to school to get a GED. Yes it's sad to see them so young, but I think it may open the eyes of girls who are thinking of having a baby.

I've seen the show and personally not a big fan. I do not think, however, that it tries to glamorize teen pregnancy, rather than showing the difficulties and struggles these teens face. But theres always going to be those kids (cause thats exactly what they are) who want to get pregnant at a young despite, despite seeing that. As a matter of fact, some would probably want to get pregnant solely because of that, but I digress.
