Has anybody had a CT Scan done of your sinuses?

Yes, I got one a few years ago during the 4th month of a sinus infection that just wouldn't go away. The CT wasn't so bad-- took all of 10 minutes, if that.

The results didn't really show much. There was definitely a sinus infection there. They sent me to an ENT, and he didn't see anything strange about my nose or facial structure that should have been causing it.

Strangely enough, the thing went away by itself about a week later.

My Aunt was diagnosed with Ménière's disease. Vertigo has been her worst symptom. I am hoping it resolves quickly for her.

I too have had the CT Scan before my sinus surgery. It showed that my sinus cavities were almost completely blocked. I had the sinus surgery and they fixed a deviated septum. That was in 1993 - the worst 5 days of my life, but that is what pain meds are for :thumbsup2 It was the best thing I ever did. I have probably had 5 sinus infections since.

I forgot to say, the CT scan was no big deal. I think it lasted less than 10 minutes.

I think it was just about 10 minutes or so...can't recall, but I did have sinus surgery would helped me tremendously.

I've had a CT with no contrast done, it took all of five minutes. It showed an air fluid level in my left sinus, meaning that there was so much infection in it that it was sitting like water in pond. Gross!

The CT in and of itself is harmless, it's the mega antibiotics and sinus surgery that will get you.

Good luck, I hope all is well!
