They are coming in cheaper than virgin who we normally fly with even including the meals, luggage and choosing seats, also the seats are 2-3-2 whereas virgin are 3-4-3 and there is just me and dh so it does seem tempting, also if I ring up I can pay a deposit! Any advice welcome :thumbsup2

I believe Thomas Cook fly into Sanford so that might cause problems if you wanted to use DME.

I haven't, but, I know people who have and I have never heard one positive about them. Plus as Wilma says, they fly into Sanford, so I don't know if they provide transportation or not to and from resort hotels, try and find out how much that will be and factor that and the convenience as well.

From what I've seen they've recently changed and fly into MCO. I'm flying with them in August and it definitely says on my confirmation I'm going from Manchester to Orlando International airport :)

Other than that I'm no help to answering the OP's question, I'll be able to give you a rundown of our experience at the end of august but I'm sure you'll want to know before then! I'm also interested to hear of any experiences!

Yep they do now fly into Orlando which was one thing that was appealing so just wondered people's thoughts, sounds like virgin may be backtracking on the seat allocation charges so will have to see :)

That's handy to know, sorry if I scared anyone :rotfl:

Flying with them later in the month into MCO and flew with them 2 years ago into Sanford. I've never flown with Virgin only Monarch and Thomson so difficult to compare! However, we got there, watched films on seat back screen, were given edible food, no delays or problems at check in :thumbsup2 I haven't seen the need to pay extra for luxory on a flight would rather spend extra money on a nicer resort - or just keep cost down.
Looking forward to using Magical Express this time, although a bit worried about longer immigration waits compared to Sanford - I'll report back after we've been. :goodvibes

Look forward to your report :) We are flying with TC in October into Orlando International

We flew with Thomas Cook to Canada four times and I can't think of one complaint!

Question though. The TC website says Baggage Allowance is 23KG for Cases and 5Kg for hand luggage. My itinerary from the TA says I have a 20KG allowance.

Is TC correct or should I email / call them to confirm? :confused3

I went into co-op travel today and they brought up the info on the Thomas Cook flight and it was 23k! :thumbsup2

I hope that's 23kg and not £23,000 :rotfl:

Cheers for the heads up and info, they are sly asking for £20 per person for a 25kg allowance then if you ask me :furious:

Not checked recently but it was 20kg if booked with a package holiday, 23kg flight only. Double check with them

We flew out VA last week but we return on the 19th with TC, booked flight only and get 23kg. And yes they changed to MCO now.:thumbsup2

How were you able to purchase one way flights with TC Wayne?

Did you find thr TC flight ok Wayne, the seat config is swinging it for me as well as the price!

Anyone know what the IFE is like...is it on demand ? I have read conflicting info. We're looking for June 2015 and the price is looking very favourable (we usually fly VA).

Thanks
