Has anybody done the private dining at the Grand Floridian?

If so, was the food good? What was your experience like? I am thinking cof surprising my fiancée with this for our honeymoon. Thanks!

We did it for my mothers birthday.We were able to order off of any menu from the GF restaurants.My parents stay there alot so they know what they like from where so we had the filet from Narcossees,app's from Citrocos and soup and salad(I love the french onion and casear salad)from Grand Floridian Cafe.We had a birthday cake made for her and they also gave us chocolate boxes for each couple.There were 6 adults and 2 kids.It was very nice-but not cheap!We ahd a private waiter that catered to our every need.I wouldn't hesitate to do it again for a small gathering or for a special couples dinner.

We did it 4 years ago and it was great! I felt a little awkward to have one person waiting on only us, but I got over it. Its really nice and they let you set your menu ahead of time, and you can pick pretty much anything you want. And its all very romantic and you can see the water parade and fireworks. I really enjoyed it but it is pricey.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going to go ahead and book it. The only other thing I am confused about is that the woman I dealt with today emailed me over a menu to pick from, but it seemed limited, and she never mentioned that we would be able to order from any of the GF restaurants
I was under the impression that it was our choice. I will have to call her tomorrow to clarify.

Thats strange. This was 4 years ago, but they asked us what we liked to eat. And then they made some suggestions and I tweeked it a bit from there. They may have changed it a bit.

My wife and I were told by the Disney rep that the seating had a partial view of the fireworks. Curious as to how well you were able to see them from where you were seated.

So I went ahead and booked. I am looking forward to it. I am also ordering a specialty cake form the GF bakery as a surprise.
