What did you do special? Did you do anything to attract attention to the fact that it was your anniversary?

DH and I were there for ours a couple of years ago. We didn't do anything special, as we had my sister and my dd (who was only a year old at the time) with us. We did, however, go to the HDDR, where they announced that it was our anniversary and they made us get up and dance. It was a lot of fun!

We were there last year on our anniversary and will be again this year...in 2 weeks! :cool1:

Last year we were there for the week with our kids and my mother. We went to MK early in the day, spent some time by the pool, then DH and I got to go out alone at night. We ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse (a place we wouldnt normally go with the kids), then watched Illuminations at Epcot and ended the night with drinks at Jellyrolls. We definitely didnt do anything to attract attention as I do not like to be the center of attention. We did however, get a free dessert at dinner. After our meal our waiter asked how everything was. In raving over how good the meal was, I happened to mention "I wanted to pick someplace special to go to tonight for our anniversary, and I was so glad we picked here...". Before we knew it our waiter was returning with a plate of cookies and chocolates, with Happy Anniversary written on it. :goodvibes

This year the whole trip will be out of the ordinary because its just going to be DH and I. We will be arriving on our anniversary and we plan to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, then dinner at YSH again (we couldnt not go back), then Pleasure Island.

yup, just got back. DW and I went for a couple of days with no kids.

We did MK and had dinner at Crystal Palace the day before, I let the CM at the podium know that it was our anniversary and when we got to our table, they had done a confetti heart on the table and a small cake with two candles for dessert. At CBR that night there were special towel animals in the window with a small card congratulating us. The next night we went to O'Hanas and our server congratulated us and after the pineapple dessert, came out with a cupcake and let EVERYBODY know that their "cousins" were celebrating their 25th anniversary.

We are not into fancy places ( thats why we chose O'Hanas over Cali Grill) and had a great time exploring the parks without kids and just enjoying every one else having a good time.

I suprised my wife by planning the vaction and not telling her to the week before. We went out mom watched kids in room. We went to cali grill and the to cirque du soliel. She loved it. We also were her on our honeymoon. :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

We've spent 2 anniversaries and our honeymoon at WDW! :) We loved the special attention we got!
If you like to recieve it, go for the bride and groom mouse ears! If you're not THAT into mouse ears, at least mention to EVERY place you sit down to eat that it's your anniversary (mention it at the desk). At Boma, we recieved a special dessert tray and a card signed by the ENTIRE STAFF (mostly in thier native languages!). At the Coral Reef, we recieved dessert on the house and our waiter sang to us. On our honeymoon, we went to Donald's Restruantosaurus and had to kiss in front of everyone (with our entire section of the restruant chanting "kiss kiss kiss kiss!" And Mickey spent a cfew extra special one on one time with us. :)
We bought bride and groom pins and a few cast members noticed and congradulated us. :)

It is what you make of it. If you want to keep it low key, don't tell. If you want to be spoiled rotten, TELL EVERYONE! :) (Yeah....We like to be spoiled! ;) )

My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at WDW. No kids, probably one of the best trips we have taken. Since we both like Epcot the best, that is where we started and ended our vacation. I ordered flowers from flowers.com and they were at our hotel waiting for us on our arrival. I had made a PS for Rose and Crown and made sure that they knew that we were celebrating our anniversary. We requested seating outside on the lagoon for around 8:40, that way we could have prime seating for IllumiNations 2000. Our waitress brought us a complimentary dessert for us to share after our dinner with two glasses of wine. I know that one of the reasons that it was really special is because we actually did this ON our actual anniversary and it was all a surprise to my wife :love2: . The rest of our vacation we just took our time, again no kids, to really enjoy the things that we love about WDW.

Only draw back to Illuminations was that we were seated in a covered patio and it was kind of hard to see the fireworks that shot higher up, but it was really, really awesome.

I forgot to add - if you have the money, you can book a dinner at Victoria and Alberts as a surprise. ;) Fabo if you love great food (and the wine pairing is well worth it).

Jl - Can you talk to my husband? LOL somehow I always end up doing ALL the planning. LOL I don't mind though (for me, planning increases the anticipation).
