We are thinking about buying more points at the new Wilderness Lodge Resort but do not know anyone who has been there yet. Does anyone think its worth buying more points there? Curious from Long Island New York.

Been there in March and we did a 275pt add on there. My family and I really thought it was nice. We also thought it would compliment our BWV ownership nicely. BWV is an active resort, and VLW is very nice and quiet, which is what we need every now and then.

We really loved the VWL - just returned on Saturday. Quiet, peaceful, in a beautiful setting, with a nice quiet pool. Unfortunately we cannot afford an add-on right now, but my VB points worked just fine!

Hi neighbor, we are from Holbrook also!! We went down this past Dec on cash after staying 6 days at the YC on points...we stayed in a 2 bdrm and loved it there...because we were at the YC we mostly went to MK and the Poly,Contemory,GF to see the other resorts and eat at them...we never took a bus only the boat so we had no trouble with transportation...the VWL were indeed beautiful and we all had a great time there...the DVC pool and the hot tub was so enjojable...I don't know if we would buy an add on there as we are too spoiled by BWV but I guess if we had a couple of $ laying around we might buy 50 more points...my advice is to go and stay a few days at VWL I'm sure you will enjoy it but do the bus thing first and then decide... Absolutely loved it! Am dying to do an add-on somehow. Our home resort is BWV and at this point in time, I actually prefer VWL. I found it to be so peaceful and relaxing and loved the theming. Probably due to the fact that I am a FL girl born and raised and love all the wood and dark colors.

The transportation was wonderful. We never waited for a bus or boat. I would highly recommend an add-on.

As a New Yorker you are unable, at this point to purchase points at VWL. There is some type of licensing agreement that has not been signed by NY State yet. You would have to purchase on site. I was told this by DVC. Maybe someone out there can help.
