Has any teen on Disney Cruise line withautism, spectrum disorder, experience bullying by other teenagers or preteens in the vibe or edge program I have a friend I met on an autism social group who is considering a Disney cruise and he was wondering if there was bullying being directed towards their autism or Asperger‘s etc. because I’ve never done Disney cruise however, on one carnival cruise three years ago a kid invaded my bubble made sarcastic remarks while doing so in the arcade threatened me I told security. That cruise was over with then when I went on the carnival Firenze in September of last year I received some graphic text saying he wanted to invade my bubble in an inappropriate way and hurt me and hurt my family on board which was reported to the Coast Guard investigative services of Los Angeles, San Pedro back on September 1, 2024 the info I shared with the Coast Guard was that this kid plan to bring a concealed weapon on board a cruise ship and invade my bubble in the most inappropriate way and hurt my family and me but first to sneak onto a cruise ship departing out of Long Beach the next day the Coast Guard contacted. My parents gone back-and-forth as of what happened then what happened my dad made a police report with the local city since we are not located in Long Beach California. Or in Long Beach jurisdiction this kid lived in my county but not my city after all that the Coast Guard showed up to their home them I ran into a minor problem with two teenagers I think they were 16-17 making sarcastic remarks about my autism other things about my interest in spending time with younger kids then I just didn’t go back to the teen club (Club O2) because I met another group of autistic kids please let me know if your experiences was deeper then this or not and whether you prefer your kid to hang out with other autistic, kids want to go to the teen club on board the cruise ship

My son is autistic and overwhelmingly the teens on DCL have been kind and inclusive- some really going out of their way to include him and make him feel supportive. Sadly his last sailing in Vibe he was left out of whatever the main group of teens was doing onboard and it was a semi sad way for him to spend his final Vibe sailing before aging out but I am beyond grateful for years, and years of supportive and kind teens who have just been amazing to him.

Always suggest a parent fill in the crew during open house that first day about any struggles (my son does not do great with loud alarms and has a serious fear of fire). Other than that, my son has had overwhelmingly positive experiences. I am super nervous about our next sailing when he is in the 1820 society not going as well as Vibe and Edge but keeping my fingers crossed that it works out.

They won’t know until they’re on board and meet the kids of that particular cruise.

(Your experience was a stalker. No, that is not normal anywhere and I’m glad you had people who could help you report it to the proper authorities.)
