Has anyone recently pulled up there Delta Flights and noticed many more seats being available then when first purchased? I have been watching a flight from BDL to MCO on july 16th at 7:30...orginally the price was mid 200's and then kept going up and we were holding out hope that prices would drop again. As of last night there were only aboue 25 seats available and the price was over $470 a person..today i check it and the prices were over $1100 a person and when i checked seat availablity it shows almost every seat available--how can this be??

i too have been watching the flights from Bdl to mco for oct..and the prices keep going up and up...crazy..I am hoping that I can get a better deal on sw....

I, too have been checking out the BDL to MCO flights. Yikes! $650 for a non-stop in the beginning of December??? That is really depressing. I am not a SW kind of traveler. :guilty: I am hoping for a drop.

Keep watching!

Well I hear you I have never flown SW and it makes me nervous to think that I am going to have to fly someone else...do not know why they are sooo mcuh money...does not make much sense...

We are trying to decide for October, too, and see the prices going up and up. I would prefer Delta but it may have to be Southwest. The only downside for us with Southwest, besides the lack of seat assignments, is that we can't use Magical Express resort check-in on the way back.

We have never used SW and really liek Delta but the times are not good for us wehn they return etc.. and the cost is outragoues...but if you read on ohter threads others are having trouble with delta changing flights times et.cc....

I can sympathize with the Delta flight time change issues. We have an extra trip planned this year for the end of April to the beginning of May to celebrate our 25th anniversary and our Delta flights have changed 6 or 8 times! And, similar to what the OP mentioned, I've seen large blocks of seats blocked out on October flights that you wouldn't think would be so full yet...not sure what is up with that. Still, Delta is our first choice if only they keep flying and the prices come down a bit.

I wonder how long delta can survive with all of this????
