Harry Potter Themed Hotel/Convention center?

Instead of Aventura hotel, JK should have commissioned a Harry Potter Themed Hotel/Convention center to counter the Disney Star Wars hotel? Thoughts?

Has there been any talk on the boards about an HP themed hotel at US Orlando?

1) Harry Potter Theme could consists of a bunch of areas from the films? or Hogwarts Castle-Like?
2) Convention center could host parts of the "Celebration of HP" each year?
3) Connect it somehow, some way to the HP Lands?
4) I think fans and non-fans would love to stay here!!!

It is a fabulous idea that many wish would come to fruition. JK Rowling is definitely particular with her licensing!!!!

Hi yes there has been talk on the boards. In fact I just was reading a thread on it over in the Disney resorts section. I personally would absolutely love it! I don't know if I would ever leave. However, the talk is J.K. Rowling is very rigid on the HP lands. She has control of what they can build and what they can't. It seems like she doesn't want to go all out at this time. The other thing is Lowe's owns the other on-site hotels so Universal would have to work out a deal with them . I am sure if it was Universal with all the decisions it would have been built years ago. I agree I can wish it all the time.

I wold love the total immersion of HP. Since they already have a castle they would have to do something else unless they found a way to build it up. On the other thread I read someone suggested having the in like in the Leaky Cauldron.

Doubt it will ever happen.

Loews are not interested in a Potter themed hotel. And JK Rowling has always said it wasn’t in her thoughts for this to happen.

There’s a thread over in rumours board about this and the funniest comment I read was from a poster who claimed Potter was past it’s prime.

I thought that was so funny.
