Yeahh but the way I see it is that they weren't really in the Burrow at that point, it just seemed a bit odd. I mean you could use that explanation, but Harry never illegally uses magic outside school in the books even when he's in The Burrow (he and Ron are annoyed at having to peel potatoes by hand in the 6th book) and I thought the whole scene was a strange inclusion
I noticed that too, and I heard they were casting Bill, so I know he's supposed to be in the seventh movie. I hope it makes sense next movie when that romance comes out of nowhere.
This may be why I liked the movie so much, I last read the book right before Deathly Hallows was released. But I plan to read it again soon, I just need the time to go over to my parent's house and get it.
I saw it at midnight with a big group of my friends and 3 of them had only ever seen the movies. All of us that have read the books were kind of joking around, saying that we were going to ruin the ending because they can't pick up a book and read it (maybe this sounds mean but I really don't understand how someone can enjoy the movie series and not once think "Hey, maybe I'll like this book too") but they were getting mad so we didn't. Well later, someone decided to text one of those friends and tell them what happens. My friend got really angry and read the text way too loudly and the people sitting behind us got super angry and started yelling at my friend. I still don't understand the not reading the books thing...
. I have seen all of the films and enjoy them very much. My two teen girls have read all of the books, so if I have questions, I just ask them. We haven't seen this one yet, but I'm sure we will by the end of the week.
Nope, that wasn't in the 6th book at all (though there is an incident involving The Burrow in the 7th book). The only thing I can think of is that Yates wanted to make the film slightly more action-packed, bringing in scenes such as The Burrow and the Millennium Bridge destruction at the beginning to spice tihngs up a bitOk, just back from seeing it today. Missed it last night as all 7 screens sold out very, very early. Most of the showings today are sold out too!
IMHO, this was the best of the 6 movies out. The level of acting is so much better! I can't get over how much our dynamic trio has grown in their abilities! But, the movie was just so much better in general. It flowed much better, there were no "filler" scenes that could have been cut, what was cut out from the book was easily explained elsewhere (like the timing on Harry and Ginny's first kiss) or wasn't missed at all. For instance, the part of Harry getting Dobie and Kreacher to follow Draco was not there; nor did we need the scene. I felt like the movie did a very good job of letting you know exactly what was going on with Draco. In the last movie, I felt like so much was cut that there was no way to understand the movie without reading the book.
On the way home, dd asked me what had been changed and I really had to think about it. The one thing we couldn't remember was, did the Burrow burn in the book? And if not, wonder why that was put in the movie?
It didn't seem to add much depth to the plot - unless perhaps the slight exploration of Harry/Ginny's relationship.
