Harry Potter legos sold at parks?

Are HP legos sold at the parks?

I don't recall ever seeing them in any of the shops.

There weren't any last time I was there - I combed through all of the stores pretty well.

HP Legos were discontinued about 4 years ago. They are collector's items now with prices to match.

As the movies were released they had different sets. Each was discontinued as the next set came out.

Unfortunately not -it was a shame they discontinued them when there is still such a market.

I wish Lego wouldn't do that.

This is how I learned about how they discontinue things, and why I bought a bunch of HP stuff long before I was going to give it to DS...the kiddo had seen Indiana Jones 1, and LOVED it. (this is when he was young enough that we still had him close eyes while we fast forwarded through the "opening the arc" scene, that sort of thing) I started looking for Indy Legos. Found some, bought a few. And then they were just GONE. One day at our local, non-chain, toy/learning store, while looking for something else, I wandered into the Lego section. There was a BIG set (a scene from Indy2, I believe) that had been discontinued. Not only was it still there, they had *discounted* it. Since I'd been pricing the discontinued sets from resellers, I knew that that's unheard of. There was a kid standing near it. I didn't care, I swooped. After I had it in hand I looked at the boy and he was looking at Star Wars stuff and didn't care that I'd swooped. I told DS "forget about this moment" because it was going to be for his birthday LOL. He did, and feigned shock and surprise 6 months later when he got it.

And that's how I knew they discontinue items and that items can get VERY expensive after that happens. I ended up getting almost everything from the last series they had of HP. My fave is the Weasley place that comes with Bellatrix, etc. I might have given that one to myself for Yule.

I still think Lego is crazy for discontinuing things. There are always babies being born who will grow (and be raised) to appreciate those awesome books and movies!

Santa was bummed when "he" had to buy Hogwarts off eBay last year since they're not available in stores anymore. Santa is also meticulous about making sure that none of those Hogwarts pieces is lost or damaged, since he also saw how much even the opened sets are holding their value and hopes to recoup part of his investment one day.
