We will be at Coronado Springs without park tickets on the first day of our vacation --- I'm trying to decide if it will be worth it to trek over the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the day.

Any thoughts on crowds? Is it worth making the trip? We are all HP fans -- especially my DD (9).

Thanks!

No...stay at Disney. Thanksgiving weekend...Black Friday included...is going to be wall to wall people and WWoHP will be absolutely insane. Even getting there before opening won't guarantee you'll make in to the HP area.

It is going to be busy. The universal crowd calendar site has it predicted to be very busy( meaning waits of over 90 mins+ for major attractions)WWoHP is going to be jammed

I'm guessing it is one of the busiest days of the year.

I was there on a "slow" day, and lines for FJ reached 60 minutes at times. I don't want to imagine what it is like on a really busy day. 90 minutes? 2 hours? The ride is awesome, but my personal willingness to stand in line maxes out around 60 minutes, even for an attraction with a really great line like this one has. I had trouble maintaining my sanity in the single rider line for 20 minutes.

WWoHP is not a large area, and it is the busiest part of either park. On a really crowded day, lines probably get very long. On a really busy day, they could possibly reach crowd capacity and have to restrict additional people from entering.

If you are a frequent Orlando visitor, I'd save WWoHP for another trip, when you can check it out on a less busy day. One day tickets are awfully expensive for a trip where you'll spend most of the day waiting in line.
