Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince....NO SPOILERS THREAD!!!

I went to the last half of the movie marathon and then saw the movie at midnight. Surprised I stayed up as, other than a 2 hr nap, I was up for abt 21hrs... :scared1:

I enjoyed it. All I'm gonna say here is that I hated McGonagall's outfit. It was DUMB.

I loved the midnight premeire!
People dressed up, we had a Voldemort, a Bellatrix, Trelawny, and Hagrid :]
It was so much fun, everyone was screaming and counting down.
We got their like an hour and a half early, and we still had trouble finding seats.
It was playing in three of the biggest theaters, and they were all sold out.

When the New Moon trailer came out, people were screaming so loud!
It was amazing, I am so sad that it is almost over!
The first part of the seventh film will be out when I graduate high school.

We have grown up together :]

No New Moon trailer. Only trailer to get applause was Where The Wild Things Are.

At the theater where we were, they sold out 8 1/2 screens! This particular theater has 14 screens.

Wow!

I am surprised that no one else was shown the New Moon Trailer. Maybe it's because they know it has such a following here :]

What was awesome about our theater, is that there were SEVENTEEN sold out showings. Plus one at 3:20am.

We arrived at our theater at 6pm to wait, only to find people who had literally camped out since 6 that morning. We were halfway around the side of the building. At about 10pm, our line moved, and the people behind us went around a couple of groups that were in sort of an inlet on the side. It started a bit of pandemonium, people running to try to keep their place, shouting, etc.

Fortunately, the boys with us landed far up enough that when they opened the theater, each of them were able to land seperate good spots for all of us. My friend and I tested each view and got to choose the better one.

Loved the movie, even though I felt unfulfilled with the major edits made toward the end sections of the film. Other than that, it was awesome.

The theatre where I went showed it on 10 out of 17 screens. It was packed.

Our previews were New Moon and GI-Joe!!! Can't wait to see both of them.

Our previews were:

New Moon
GI Joe
Sherlock Holmes
some dumb kids' movie about a wishing stone
Where the Wild Things Are

And I'm pretty sure there were like 2 more.

We also had a preview of the cloudy with a chance of meatballs. Kari got excited about that, and where the wild things are. The wishing stone was a bit wierd too.

I was at Disney's AMC I think some one said that there was 13 screens all sold out (out of 24). Most every one that was there was a cast member. And mostly in thier 20ish, felt like a college crowd in our theater 2. And at DTD there's 3 floors for theater 1 & 2. I didn't like watching Indy from the third floor, So I went down to the front row. And I got there about 11pm. And they didn't start the previews till like 5 mins after midnight (cause that's when i turned my phone off).
At about 11:20 some one yelled out to have any one dressed up to go down front and take a group photo. It was really cool. Few Ravenclaws and Hufflepuff. And this really tall blonde girl dressed as Lucius Malfoy, in black cloak with the snake pins. Some were good, others were real basic robes.

Linda Skywalker even made the news here... they went out to a theater to check the lines. Of course they chose the one she was at. And as always she was there 4 1/2 hrs early with all her collection. (She's very obssessive with star wars characters, and does that sort of thing during SW weekends, she'll sleep in her car or something and wait at the gates at like 4am, long before any one else shows up.)

it must have been so great to be there with all those people dressing up.

makes me wish i when to the rocky horror movie showing

There's plenty of web pages for linda if you do a yahoo search.

But she's just a really obssessive person about star wars weekends. Any one that has been there should've seen her at some point in time. But she litterally like lives in the parking lot at night to be the first in line for the actor's autographs. She'll be at the gate by like 4 or 5am for the fastpass line up. Some actors don't like her, other's are ok about it. And like in the news clip where she had "everything" harry potter with her, she does that for SWW. Dressing up and bringing extra stuff, like she had her wand, her hedwig, her HP magazines, and all sorts of crazy stuff.
And she's had her name legally changed to Linda Skywalker, it's not just something she "prefers". Like any one that works at Studios or like to go to SWW knows of her. I just find it halirous that they managed to go to the one theater that she was at. I just don't think it's in her nature to show up "on time", but rather hours upon hours early, long before another person shows up.

Wow, that is crazy.

And what does she have to do with Harry Potter? :confused3

nothing

apparently she was at one of the showings in disney world and i asked who she was - i thought she was someone famous or at least worth knowing.

I saw it and thought they cut alot out of this one too. :sad2:
But it was still pretty awesome and alot better to follow than #5.
Anyone else jump when that creature grabbed Harry?:scared1:
I heard that they are making #7 into TWO movies to catch ALL the details though. I heard they are done filming part 1 though. :goodvibes

Yup. But then it's also one heckuva big book too....

Definitely. Didn't feel nowhere as choppy....

I know I did.

Catch all the details and, hopefully, tie up all the loose ends.
