Has anyone gotten their hair cut here? My 13 month old badly needs a first hair cut (except for the adorable curls in the back!) and I was thinking it would be awesome to have her first cut in the Magic Kingdom in April.
Is there usually a long wait? Is there a better time to go - morning, afternoon, evening? Any tips?

I got a haircut there in 2002. I walked right in and sat down. However, there was only one person able to cut hair at that time, so the guy who came in after me had to wait until I was finished. There are only two chairs available and I suggest you go in the morning when it opens. Make sure you bring a camera because you're going to get a few surprises. I'm guessing you'll have the camera anyway since it's going to be your child's first haircut. Have fun!

They will make a VERY BIG deal about your child's first haircut. I don't want to spoil any of the surprises but I would make this a "must do" on your next trip.

We find that it is best to go first think in the morning, getting there about 10 minutes before they open (9:00) and waiting for them to open the door. And remember that the barber shop is no longer halfway down Main Street USA. They moved it to Town Square to the left of the Emporium.

How much does a haircut cost there? Not that there's a price limit on anything Disney IMO!!

My 2 yo DD got her first haircut there on Thanksgiving Day 2003. It cost $12. We waited in line 1 hour. It was worth every second of the wait. They did a great job and made a really big deal out of it. I told her we were going to get her hair cut yesterday, and she said going to see Mickey Mouse?
