Hard to get food at WDW! My family is hungry!

I feel like I need to vent here.

On Sunday, I was at the CR, and in a rush. Some guy in front of me at the coffee bar was chit chatting and making small talk with the barista. I mean really, the barista is there to work, right? Not to make guests have to unnecessarily wait for their espresso shot, or to provide any level of customer service. I was this close to getting a manager to come over and explain to the barista and patron that I am a paying customer, and it’s hard enough to get food at WDW as it is, talking with guests is really not efficient. I mean really, how long should it take to make a couple of teas?

It reminds me, last May when I was at the CR my son wanted to eat at Chef Mickey’s. I can’t believe that they wouldn’t accommodate us because we didn’t have a reservation. Does Disney even realize how much I was paying to stay at the CR? It’s ridiculous. To add insult to injury, this other family was only there waiting for 5 minutes and they were seated. Regardless of them having an ADR, I was offended that they got seated. I can’t believe the 'kind of people' Disney is letting in these days. Then security had the nerve to escort me and my family, as a paying guest, away from the podium.

I have had similar problems getting tables at the Grand Floridian café as well. I mean, if I am staying at the Grand Floridian, they should be able to seat me at any time in the GF Café. There were some people there, I think they were Townies or Cutters, looking at me as I was trying to get seated and looking at me like I had two heads.

Lastly, about a year ago I was staying at POP century. All I wanted was some coffee. There was some person and their daughter taking way too long to pour a cup of coffee so I had to reach over the girls head and pour the coffee. I was thinking to myself, if this girl moves and bumps me, I might spill this hot coffee on her, but it would be her fault and she would deserve it. The person seemed to have some issue with me, and glared at me in disbelief, like it was me that was doing something wrong. I told them ‘you're taking too long and I'm sick of waiting’. The person said something like ‘is it worth scalding a little girl just to get coffee’, that was about it, I lost it and told them to “F#%@! Off!”.

I mean really….can you believe some people? I just want my food. Sorry for the vent.

Disclaimer for the joke-challenged:
Ok, ok, this was a joke. I just couldn’t resist at poking a little fun at that thread:

I don’t believe anything I said above, I in-fact agree with everything the posters have said in the thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2290265.

Ha ha, if you want to be really brave edit out your disclaimer! Kudos for a very imaginative post. :)

:lmao::rotfl::lmao: I was flexing my fingers to give you a good tongue lashing until I got about 1/3 way through. Very funny. It amazes me how some people behave.

You got a total  out of me on that one. Thanks. I haven't smiled yet today. It could have something to do with that I haven't had my shot of expresso yet. ;)

You're just incredibly rude and should be banned from visiting any Disney park worldwide! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao:

I was thinking wow what a jerk he thought it was ok to pour coffee over a child!! Until I saw the first response and went back and read the disclaimer.

OK, I admit it, I was shocked reading the first paragraph! How could it be that this person is raising the counter-point to the terrible thread I just read. By the second paragraph, the light dawned.

Very funny! :lmao:

Glad I'm not the only one who fell for it at first. I had to re-read it and then scroll down a bit to see the disclaimer.

Thanks for the laugh.

Haha, you got me because I hadn't read the other thread yet and I too was thinking, this guys sounds like a jerk :rotfl:. But geez wouldn't it be crazy if this really did happen on the boards...two people complaining about each other! That would be pretty funny. I have thought about that when I have told weird/embarrasing/rude people stories on the boards.

O.k. it took me awhile to get it.
I thought you were the idiot and had to reread the post!
Thanks for the laugh! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

I had the opposite response. At first I was like, "ha ha a joke." Then I kept reading waiting for the joke line and started thinking. . "is this person serious?" Was relieved to find the mention of a joke at the end!!!

One of these days it is going to happen... someone is going to say something and another DISER is going to post the opposite... maybe not on the same board but it will happen!!

Thanks for the giggle

:lmao:Thanks for a good laugh. I had read the other thread, which made yours even more funny.
