Hard to book 1br at AKV day-by-day for late feb '09?

I just booked our late Feb '09 trip!

We booked at our home resort, SSR, but since it'll be my son's first trip and he's way into animals, I'd love to shoot for AKV.

Will they be near completion by then? Has it been very difficult to get into the resort thus far? What do you think? I plan to call day-by-day as soon as I can.

Right now, there's some question as to how many animals will be on at least one of the savannahs at the resort during the timeframe, January through March. Only Jambo house will be opened then, and if some of the savannah rooms won't have animals on the savannah, you will be charged standard view rate for the room.

I own at AKV and just booked some nights for next March...1 night savannah view studio and 3 nights concierge studio. When I was booking the "savannah view" the CM was very clear to me that it's possible I won't see animals from my room. In view of this, do you really want to book AKV for next March? If so, all you can do is try...Here's some Pixie Dust!
You still have awhile before you can book...maybe there's another resort you would try to get into for this particular trip.

I was able to get BCV at the 7 month mark during this years Food and wine festival booking day by day so it is alway worth the phone call

Yea, I'm kind of thinking that I might go for BCV in May so we're sure to have warm weather. My son will only be 2 and probably won't have much of an attention span for the parks, so we'll either need animals or a great pool for him!
