The Hard Rock Hotel has officially opened for business at Universal Orlando. The Hard Rock joins another Loews-managed property, the Portofino Bay Hotel, also at Universal.
Located on a 14-acre site, the hotel features 650 rooms, a business center, 6,000 square feet of meeting space -- and the loudest grand opening on record: 2001 drummers from around the world opened the hotel by setting a Guinness record for the longest and largest drum roll in history.
