Hard Rock Club ROCKS !!!!

Hi Everyone !!!!!!!!!
I'm at Hard Rock Hotel right now and I have nothing bad to say about it !!! all I can say is the bad reviews I have heard, well let's just say they are either wrong or we are just really really lucky !!! I love this place !!!!!!!!!!
We checked in at noon and our room wasn't ready, so the very friendly and laid back CM gave my kids each a blow up guitar and a CD and we left to the park....... after about 2 hours they called me on my cell to tell me the room was ready...we came back around 6:00 to our beautiful and large room !! there was a neclace with a peace sign waiting on the bed and about 5 minutes later they brought up my lowes gift !!! we ordered the beer and nuts !....we then headed to the club lounge where they had mini hot dogs, assorted cheeses, hot pretzels, a large vegetable plate and lots of beer and wine !!! It was great !! the kids started to watch a movie that they put in for them and we socialized with some other guests !....anyway.... so far so good !!! I have to say that I am enjoying this WAY more than Disney so far !!! We stayed 3 nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge....which was also great.....but I'll get into that later....... this is just a way more laid back atmosphere and so many more friendly people than in Disney !!!!!!!!!!!!
well...I hope our stay continues on as well as our first day here !!! I will try to write more tomorrow....I'll let you know how the front of the line access goes...tomorrow will be our first day at Universal Studios !!! If you have any questions, I will try to answer them if I happen to get on here tomorrow !!

Glad your checkin went smooth.
One reason is you're in a club room.
The people who complain are usually in a regular room, using a discount rate code, their checkin is late, and they're POed about it. So if something goes wrong here, they'll have a bad report about the entire hotel experience.
In your case, you went to the parks until 6pm so you didn't care, which is probably why things went so smooth. It's kinda hard to explain that, but I think some bring problems on themselves, bad karma if you will.

Now what you need to look out for is some incident in the park that will ruin your trip. Like someone bumping into your kid, or you leaving something in the hotel room at the very end. Stay on your toes and watch your kids carefully. I'd still suggest going to the parks early because the walkways can get crowded.

Little things always come up, let's hope none of them ruin your trip.

I have to agree. We enjoyed HRH way more than we thought we would. Last summer we were in a regular deluxe room and didn't have any complaints about service or the room. This July we have reservations for HRH Club (hopefully deluxe) room. Of course I really hope the rates come down - right now we're paying
$336 a night - with AAA discount for July 3, 4, and 5 - checking out on the 6th.

Well I'm back home... I had a wonderful trip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I still love the Hard Rock Hotel !!! As a side note.... I had a great discounted rate and still had wonderful service !! I would say the only thing I would agree on that other people noticed would be that the carpet definately needs replacing ! also the bathrooms could be cleaner.... but over-all I loved the hotel !! The club offerings were pretty decent and I loved the laid back atmosphere !! It was very relaxing and stress free !! I was also offered my free lowes welcome gift, which we received 5 minutes after we got in our room !!
As for front of the line access...... it's the only way to go !!! The parks were very crowded, so we still had a little wait with front of the line, but 5-10 minutes compared to over an hour, well, it's worth it's weight in gold !!!! I honestly had a better time at Universal/IOA this time around !!

We didn't bring onto ourselves the toilet over flowing and houskeeping refusing to clean up the mess for 2 days. We didn't bring it upon ourselves for the lock on the door to not work and the front desk refusing to believe either us or security. We didnt' bring it upon ourselves to be offered 2 free nights then be charge for them.
The HRH sucks and I will never stay there again
