Where can you get the hard plastic tickets (like credit cards)? We had these kind instead of the paper ones in Jan. '07 but I cannot remember where we got them from. It sure was nice having a more sturdy ticket media. Anyone know if they are still available and if so where from? Thanks

Not sure how to get them in the park, but the hard plastic tickets were the ones included in our packet from Walt Disney Travel Co. - which we leave in 12 days!!!!

That's the parkhopper ones you get from the DL company, I believe, and you'll get them from most of the package deals like Costco, AAA, etc. You can buy them in grocery stores and the Disney Store in malls.

The Disney Stores (at least the ones that are left) sell the plastic kind.

If you are getting your tickets at the park or the resort it depends on how many days you are staying. The other way is to buy them before you get there at disney, AAA or another store.

Well, when we had them in Jan. '07, we had a CM tell us to go ahead and come back for more that just one Early Entry since she said there was no way to punch the hard plastic to tell if we had used our one EE or not. Anyone know if this would be true or not or if they now have another method of marking the hard plastic cards once the EE is used?

We purchase our kid's tickets through aaa last Feb '07 and were given the hard plastic tickets, not paper ones.

I'm not too sure how they handle ee with the plastic tickets as we were staying onsite.

Edit: mis read above post, sorry

With the hard plastic cards, the EE information is encoded into the magnetic strip on the back of the card, as is the information about how many days have been used on the hopper.

You get vouchers that you have to exchange for tickets when you get to DL.

Probably paper. However, the paper tickets do have magnetic strips as well.

When I've looked at packages, and what people say they got, it seems the term "souvenir park hopper" means the plastic passes.

Not so much souvenirs if you're upgrading to APs, though; they took 'em from us when we upgraded. :(

Probably paper. However, the paper tickets do have magnetic strips as well.

I think you mean barcodes?:confused3 :goodvibes

My one-day tickets from '05 have a magnetic stripe and barcode, and my one-day tickets from '06 have only a barcode. Both bought at the ticket booths. :confused3

We got paper tickets from the ticket booth, after purchasing from GAT.

But, the paper is very sturdy, for all those worried. They lasted five days, water rides and all.. and looked the same on day five, as they did on day one.

When we ordered a package through Costco 2 years ago we got paper ones, which really lasted. I actually still have some in my wallet as happy memories souvenirs :yay:

You get the plastic ones from the Disney Stores!!! That is all we sell, and they are cute I must add.
The 2 day passes have Aladdin on child passes with Abu, and adult passes have Genie.
3 day passes have Dash for kids and Mr. Incredible for adults.
4 days have Hook for adults and Peter Pan for kids,
and the 5 day passes have Mike and Sulley, I think Mike is kids and Sulley is adults, but I could have that one backwards.

HTH!!
Oh, and Disney Store tickets do not to be traded in once you get there, you get to keep the plastic ones.
