Been to both, but kids have only been to TL (ages 7,6,4). I know TL has the new water coaster, but I think BB is themed cooler, no pun intended. Which would you go to with your kids if you had the choice?

TL. My son could spend all day in the wave pool. I, personally, find TL to have a more relaxed theme to it. Also, that new water coaster would be a definite plus.

TL for me hands-down. I love it there and the atmosphere is so laid back!

Oooh me too!! Last time we were there, I did the lazy river right away and then spent the rest of the time in the wave pool.

I think the theme of BB is so neat- I love the melting snow man family and the ski lift. But TL has the swimming w/the sharks and the new water coaster. Maybe show your kids some online pics of each park and ask which one they would choose.

I like the relaxed tropical feel of TL, and would probably pick TL as my favorite. However, my DBF and I had a great time last trip at BB. There are a lot more thrilling slides at BB. DBF picks BB over TL but he really loves TL too!

It's really a tough choice. I would look at what kind of slides you want to experience and that might help you decide.

We are having the same problem deciding. We've been to BB twice and TL about 12 years ago. My boys love BB but I think a change would be good. Does anyone know how the new coaster is? :wizard:

Definitely a vote for TL! Crushn' Gusher is lots of fun but beware to keep your 'tush' up! ;)

So far the reviews for the crush n gusher have been really good. You have your choice of 3 "slides" to go down. You may want to do a search on it.

Here's another vote for typhoon lagoon. I love the tropical feel of it.
Blizzard beach seems so open and hot.
Plus TL has a few more tame rides for the younger ones.
Good luck deciding :flower:

I'm so confused. I've read a lot about TL and BB and a lot of people recommend BB because the wave pool is sooo strong at TL. Is this true? My girls (8 & 10) both picked TL but now I don't know what to do. Help!

DS13 & I are going to Typhoon Lagoon on our 2nd full day at WDW this Aug.
We were last at both in 1996

I personally prefer TL BUT for the kids I would definatley say BB. There is way more to do imo. There are more "kid" areas and slides, and I would say choose BB becuase it would be new for the kids. How will they know which they like if they never try it. My kids love to try new things. Good Luck!

what would you recommend for 2 teens ( both 18) who dont care a lot about laying around all day ? :)

Either water park is great, but it depends on what your looking for. TL has a great wave pool, with rather strong waves. The new crush-n-gusher is a blast. But you do need to keep your 'tush up....have the bruises to prove it! This park is more relaxed & shaded. BB is also a blast! A lot more slides, both adventerous & calm. You can't go wrong with either one. I would be a little cautious with the wee ones though. You'll have fun at either place! :flower:

i've been to both of them two but i can hardly remember, i only know i had a off-the-hook time @ both !! but i think i'll try BB first, sounds more exiting to me

Love Typhoon Lagoon-we took our 4 kids ages 6, 8, 15, and 18 years and each and everyone of them enjoyed it!

Just at TL on Friday and wished we hadn't saved it for the last day of our vacation. The new water coasters were awesome. There is a new pool area with lots of chairs by the new water coasters that we wished we had found before getting our chairs somewhere else. It is alot quiter and relaxed back there. We had very minimal if any waits for all rides except Shark Reef. My suggestion would be to swim with the sharks early because there was about an hour wait by noon.

I  LOVE  TL! because of the wave pool and the swiming with the fishes. The water is so much cooler then everwhere else, and the fish so neat! I think it is called Sharks Reef? It is so neat, you get to borrow mask, fins, and a life vest and swim with sharks. They are small and no threat to people. My DS was a very tiny 5 yo the first time we did this and they went to a lot of trouble making sure the mask, fins and vest fit him. I so throught the line and swim several times, intill I am blue with cold! So now that they have the new ride I can't wait to go back!

We did BB last year, so were thinking about going to TL this time round. I was wondering if it might be a little busier with the new slides? My DS4 is too small for the new stuff, but I wondered if the kid section is as good or better than the one at BB? I would like to give my DH a chance to try the new slides while we are at the kids bit, but I found that it was almost impossible to keep an eye on DS at BB with just one of us, is it a bit better at TL? You couldn't see the bottom of the slide from the top, or the other way round, it was a little frustrating...thankfully it wasn't too busy.
