I have two questions about this. First of all, where is it? I saw it was in NOS but exactly where? And, is the soup and bread bowl the same as the one in DCA?

Hi Lovebug33,

Harbor Galley Restaurant is near the Haunted Mansion a in Disneyland. It is just a little stand close to the rivers of America facing the haunted Mansion.

The Disneyland website has a menu on it. I looked at the menu on the disneyland website and it does have soups on it.
I recommend the Lobster Roll! It is so good but it is a little expensive.

In terms of the bread bowls themselves, I honestly didn't notice much (if any) of a difference with the ones at Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. They may be slightly different, but not enough that anything jumped out at me. I can't comment on the soups themselves because I had a salad at Pacific Wharf instead of a soup.

We always hum and ha over this menu, but the lack of seating in the area always persuades us away. But I hear it's good some good eats!

We liked the lobster roll when we went for the first time last year. We ate there on our first day right when we got there before riding Pirates (always our first ride) and it was pretty empty at the time. Must have been right after the lunch rush?

I have an issue paying $15 for a lobster roll that's pre-made and served out of a stand. I'd be more likely to spend that much and order it if it were at Cafe Orleans. I wanted to try the shrimp salad but since it's pre-made and there's no kitchen on site they couldn't do it without the bacon. I miss the old menu that had a vegetarian version of the baked potato and the salmon salad vs. the shrimp items that are there now. The pumpkin soup when it's available on the seasonal menu is pretty good. The soup and bread bowl is too much for me to eat alone. I did have the shrimp baked potato last night at the AP event though and my friends had the bacon one. They said they thought that mine was a better value. I thought it was a little weird having shrimp and tomatoes on a potato, but I went with it. We lucked out and found a table, but you definitely have to be prepared to eat on your lap sitting on the ledge near HM. And FYI you can order the soups a la carte without the bread bowl.

We love their shrimp cobb salad and the BBQ potato with slaw, both are really good! The Potato is an especially good deal with Coleslaw, BBQ chicken on top of the potato (although I often get the slaw on the side), filling and delicious for under $7. There is more seating then it appears along the river path (which coincidentally you can usually take all the way to Splash Mountain!). Most people are turned away due to the perceived lack of tables (but its odd, since there are way more tables there then say at the Bengal BBQ).

Harbour Gallery is located right across from Haunted Mansion, kind of in between its entrance and exit. Right now there is a Nightmare Before Christmas stand that blocks the view of Harbour Gallery. But walk around it and there it is! As other posters have mentioned, there is limited seating here, but I take my food to Hungry Bear Restaurant and eat there, always plenty of space.

I personally like the food options here, the roast beef salad and baked potatoes are my favorite. I'm pretty sure that the bread bowls in both parks come from Boudins in DCA, so the bread is the same and I believe the soup recipes should be the same in both parks as well. (someone please correct me if a am wrong) Last time I went to Harbour Gallery, they had steak gumbo and clam chowder.

The BBQ Chicken stuffed baked potato is one of my favorites things at DL.

If there is no seating right near the stand, you just walk over to Hungary Bear and there is always seating on the open patio.

They offer the same broccoli and cheese and clam chowder soups according to their menus, but I believe the "rotating" soups are different. The Royal Street Veranda also serves bread bowls with the chowder and gumbos. We like to get our bread bowls and soup at the Pacific Wharf Café on the pier, we just really enjoy eating there.
