HappyLimo rocks, Mears STINKS

We just returned from a 5 night stay at All-Star Sports. I had made arrangements beforehand to have HappyLimo transport us to and from the airport in Orlando.

We had booked a sedan, but to our surprise our driver was there already unloading previous customers in a 2 week old sleek black and chrome stretch limo- so he picked us up in that!!!! We stopped for groceries, no problem! Looked like a movie star going grocery shopping haha.

Well our last day in Orlando, we decided to venture to Gatorland. A huge mistake on our part was we just called a Mears taxi-which seemed easiest/cheaper than a limo service. Well they picked us up on time, but I had told them the night before we'd need picked up at Gatorland at 3pm that next day, "Sure no problem"

3:20 pm , we're still sitting on a stump out front- I call dispatch "Well there aren't any cars available at the moment, we'll get there when we can"

3:50 pm, still sitting on stumps, I call again "Noooo, sorry no cars on the way yet" I really start griping then, asking what was the purpose of scheduling the night before if they aren't even going to try to arrive in the ballpark timeframe????? She kept giving me the song and dance about availability, blah blah. I said I would never do business with them again, and couldn't believe they treated their customers this way.

4:15pm- I step inside gatorland, he suggests "celebration taxi", I said ok, if they're not here by 4:30 .....but FINALLY mears came.

Departing Orlando- I call HappyLimo that morning and ask if they could come at 9 instead of 9:30am (the time I had originally stated)--"Sure no problem, she'd contact the driver"
He was there at 8:50am!! Friendly , cheerful as ever.

This was our second trip to Orlando in a year, we used HappyLimo for airport transportation both times and wouldn't think of ever using MEARS for anything again

Keep up the good work HappyLimo!!!!!!!
 
My family and I are using them for the first time this Friday!!! I called and confirmed everything yesterday! They were all so nice and easy to work with!:teeth:

I will never use Mears again. Last Nov it took us two hours to get to our hotel (it was the ASMO the last stop). So we checked in at 1:30am!

Again thanks for the report I now feel even better about using their service!!!

I'm with you...Happy Limo is great. We use them quite a bit and, like you, we recently had a last minute change. It was due to my goof-up (we were travelling with another family, and I thought I'd already gotten my hotel via Priceline for the night before our cruise at the same hotel as them. Turns out I had forgotten!! So I made Priceline ressies in a panic the night before we ended up at a different hotel). I contacted Happy to see if they could stop at both hotels, and it was no problem. :D
But I think I am definitely taking too many cruises and vacations when I can't keep track of which ressies I have made already and which I haven't. :jester:
And that limo sounds gorgeous. We were in their white one on our last trip, and it was major luxury.

Just wanted to chime in with a big thumbs down for Mears. We had them with our package last January. We waited more than an hour for a van to our hotel. I think we only ended up with one then because I threw a ......um rather public fit! Never again!
