Well I know it's a Monday but we can pretend to be happy about it anyway

my kids have 2 weeks left of school so we are in the final strech

i work all day today and than to the hospital to see my grandfather

Today is DS14 last full day of school. Wow, can't believe this school year is over...

Nothing much going on this way today!!! Except of course a lot of "mom's taxi service".

DD is at cross country practice. I need to go get her soon..
DS has driver's ed til 1pm; football @ 5p, basketball @ 7p.. Boy, they take HS stuff seriously!
DS10 has basketball open gym tonight too..

The kids all start the park program today too!!

12 more days of teaching this year. Unfortunately, there's way too much still left to do. I have 5 more IEP meetings to chair in that time, plus all of the usual end of the year craziness. It's a good thing I have such great students to make it worth it.

The rough part is going to be today. I have a meeting scheduled with a parent who has blown off the last 4!! meetings we've set to discuss her son's IEP. Come on, it's your kid. How can she just keep not showing up, when she's the one that picks the date and time?

You sound like me. I only work a half day today, but then the taxi service begins. We have cheerleading, lacrosse and piano lessons today. 2 more weeks of school, then things really die down a lot. YEAH!!
