Happy Mickey-versary for 15 yrs! An Oct. 2011 PTR NEW: 11/13 Pretend Disney? & TRlink

Hey Julie,
Lists are the only thing that keep me organized! I will definitely have to check out your blog!

Fellow Chicagoan here! Okay, I must come out of "lurkdom" to comment on your love of lists. A girl after my own heart. I feel as though my day is not complete unless I have a list of some sort. My DH was reading over my shoulder when I was reading your post and he said "A plan to make a plan." I say, "SO WHAT?!" He should see my Disney to-do list! On second thought-maybe he shouldn't. :lmao:

Well hello there fellow Chicagoan...and the first question I should ask North or South side....can we really be friends? :rotfl:

It's the Cubs for me ;)

thanks for saying hi and coming out of lurkdom, hope you'll say hi again too :goodvibes

and what do you mean he doesn't understand a plan for a plan :lmao:

I also have a question for you. Do you know where I can find a DIS Mickey pattern? i.e. the Green Mickey Head? I want to print one out and laminate it so I can pin it on my park bag.:goodvibes

you can look over on the DISigns threads...most disigners will have links in theri siggies for PhotoBucket accounts where they keep all their designs. There are lots of Do you Dis? ones out there too...I like Natatlie's things. let me know if you still need help...

:lmao: yes you shouldn't have....LOL...it's all good we are mixed family here too...Matt and and my son are Sox fans along w/ his Dad and Sis and my Mom and brother. But the girls, my Dad, my sil and various other families are true Cubbie blue...and yes it generally is blue ;)

Well you have seen my planning tools and read my basic TO-DO list…but before we get into, dining, ADR’s and all that other fun stuff…I don’t want to forget those special little bud’s that won’t be joining us this time…

The Mouse kids:

Them w/ Donald Nov. 2010

As mentioned before Matt and I have 4 great children: Nathan and Rebekah (the twins) who will be 12 later this Spring…geeze that is scary, Rachel our 8 yr old and Naomi-Ruth the “baby” of the family, who won’t be a baby too much longer when she turns 5 the end of the year…that’s even scarier.

Here is a look back at of their First trips:

Nathan (then 6):

And now

a growing young man, very smart, avid reader, in 6th grader. Nathan also lives each day w/ the daily struggles of Autism-Aspergers. What he loves about Disney is the FOOD and having pure fun.

Rebekah (then 6):

And now

100_9431.jpg

a vibrant young lady who excels at cello and reading, loves to helps others and learn. She also manages the daily struggles of Autism-PDD-NOS. What she loves about Disney is the rides and spending time just Mom and her (we always plan a couples hours to ourselves).

Rachel (then 2 ½):

And now

100_9440-1.jpg

a spunky, energetic 2nd grader, who enjoys dance and playing w/ her friends. She loves family nights and playing games. What she loves about Disney is the characters and being a Princess every day!

Naomi-Ruth (then 18 months):

And now

100_9416.jpg

a very cute and witty kid. She always has some new thing or act that is cracking us all up… even herself, she laughs all the time! Luckily she doesn’t quite know what she is missing but she has several food intolerances to gluten/wheat, dairy and eggs. What she loves about Disney is everything!

Thanks for reading, Julie

thanks I am looking forward to it...food stuff to come soon!

Love the then and now photos!

thanks Jennifer, fun post to put together..

Step 1) add two excited Disney Fans

Step 2) figure out which parks would be the least crowded (look at touring plans, maybe TGM, and wait for hours)

 So for now I am going based on touring plans crowd charts and signed up for email alerts to when any of the info changes…kinda cool! I have also looked at the 2010 operating hours for our similar dates and days…I am not sure I have to worry so much which park is the most crowded etc when it is just the two of us and it is not a super busy time of the year at this point. With resort crowd levels basically in the 1’s and 3’s…I still don’t think we have too much to worry about.

I am mostly thinking I need to concentrate on our evening plans since we only have 4 nights and lot’s of nighttime things we’d like to do! As well when MNSSHP will be going on.

Step 3) what extras will we do?

I have made a list of the extra wish list: :genie:

MNSSHP evening (4pm) 7-12 am as of March ’11 listed on Sun, Tues and Thurs evenings (according to touring plans)…target attending Tues 10-18

Epcot F&W F like to take advantage of this twice..1 morning into afternoon and 1 evening

Epcot Illuminations and possible EMH (had a ton of fun doing this in Jan w/ the Spectrum Mom’s)

Tour(s) looking at Key’s to the Kingdom at MK and Safari Wild Trek at AK

Anniversary dinner and specialty cake :cake: (want to do this early in the trip…target for this is arrival night Sun 10-16)

Watching Hallo-Wishes or Wishes from Top of the World lounge (thinking first evening again)

Possible Carriage ride at Fort Wilderness or Port Orleans

Possible Marketplace shopping

Hot tub…this is Matt’s request ;)

Step 4) add in a dash of dining

popcorn:: At this point we are planning reg DDP w/ various OOP meals too. Need to do some fuzzy math here. More to come on this later…

Step 5) expect some changes…

Well you know this is going to happen LOL

so this is how it looks for now....
