yeah it is a trick to go away w/out kids I am learning as I go...seems to be extra things included w/ this trip and want to make it easy for my Mom too

I am a ckae lover…YUM! Actually I kind of love all desserts. I am in the process of trying to order a specialty cake so I will feel better once it is done and anxious to see the finished product there.

* Next Family Night (or themed dinner would be more appropriate) we had yesterday (stay tuned for post on that)

* I guess you could say our Anni cake has been ordered…but not officially confirmed

* Online check-in for our resort ressie DONE!

* Print Itinerary cards and prepare travel binder DONE!

* Matt is almost done fixing his vest (costume) and is working on final adjustments to my dress

* I also have all but ONE ride confirmed for Rachel for school

* Sent email to friend for Bekah’s orchestra concert ride

I made cheat notes of floors and ideal room numbers for BLT

Confirmed all my Dismeets and tested texting to their cell numbers

Finally today I sort of took a partial sick day of sorts and watched Mulan, The Rescuer’s and MMCH w/ NR (who is sick as well)

I love your To-Do list...it has inspired me to become more detailed with my own because I don't want to forget anything

DS will be Luke X-wing fighter pilot and DD WAS going to be Rapunzel but after seeing the play "Wicked" last week she now wants to be Glinda the good witch...so we are scrambling to say the least! Cool feel like we have "groopies"

I love Wicked saw it when it premiered in Chicago several yrs ago. Our middle DD Rachel went as Glinda two Halloween's ago:

the dress was a costume dress-up she had got for Christmas the previous yr and Matt made her the crown out of posterboard. I know Glinda's is actually more white/crystal, but she liked pink!

I hope we do run into each other...I have my "You've been DIS'd by Scrappie" pins in my little purse for the night.

our plans are to arrive btwn 4-4:30 pm, do some rides, see some characters btwn 7-9 w/ a Dismeet in the middle... and some photo opss by the HM (of course) we'll being seeing Hallo-Wishes and the 2nd parade. Please say hello and I'll be on the lookout for Luke and Glinda too

Not wait for the kids to be ready to leave…

No come on “finish eating” or “brush your teeth” or “did you put on clean underwear?” or “ let’s go..let’s go…”

* Fix Matt’s vest (costume) DONE!

* Have Matt try on dinner out clothes to decide on shoes DONE!

* Order cake DONE! And confirmed yesterday by phone we are going w/ a 6 inch round, marble cake, w/ custard/strawberries filling, white buttercream frosting w/ some green & purple piped Mickey heads and for the extra Disney twist...we asked for a romantic Aladdin & Jasmine Theme for you budget friendly people...we are going w/ a $70 max budget.


* Packed most of Matt’s undergarments and shoes for him and I for our dinner out.

On the weekend’s agenda is

* to do some yardwork (Matt/Nathan) so don’t have to deal w/ next Sat.

* Me rest so I don’t get worse w/ feeling ill

* Finish Costumes (Matt) and take our Wedding Photo before I “kill” him…

* I also want to finish schedule/instructions for my Mom and update souvie list in my phone​

for our Food and No Whine Festival!

In celebration of 10 days till our trip we had our next family night...or themed dinner inspired by Epcot's Food & Wine festival.

In prep for the dinner, Matt and I pre-determined a meal w/ simple foods the kids would like to eat and i recieved some extra help from DISER irishdancer (Anne Marie) who was over visiting during the day and made little flags for me.

I also created little Passports for the kids and printed our menu on the back:

In case its hard to read we had:

Italy: Pasta

China: Fried Rice

France: Croissants

Ireland: Potatoes

Sweden: meatballs

Germany: Black Forest Cake (actually provided by Anne Marie)

I should do that more often...I didn't have the usual barrage of "what are we having for dinner?" coming at me...

I looked around the house for Disney itmes and such inspired by the various countires represented by our meal. Take a look at our table:

Also this night in the midst of conversations about our hertiage and special keepsakes we own for each of the 4 children's middle namesakes we also celebrated another Trip milestone for the the KIDS January trip that it was 100 days away on Thurs (10-6)

First, the cake sounds FABULOUS! I am not usually a big cake lover, but that one really sounds delicious. And adorable! Can't wait to see it!

You are so creative with your family nights! I am probably going to steal a few of your ideas for when we get to count down to our next trip. I love the international theme...and the decorations are great! Your family is so blessed to have a mommy like you!
