I had my pancakes for my dinner this evening!! Just chilling now with a glass of wine (it is nearly 10pm here) as I am giving up alcohol for lent.

We go to the Episcopalian church, so I guess it must be an Anglican tradition for the pancakes? In any event, my kids LOVE it - and me too, since I don't have to cook tonight!

As for Lent, I thought about giving up chocolate, but I still have my box from Valentine's Day, and I can't resist that for 6 1/2 weeks!

Actually, we have that in our church at Epiphany . . .

I celebrated with my class at school. I made all the kids pancakes, we learned how maple syrup is made, made a craft and did some phonemic activities with the P sound and writing about favourite pancake toppings/silly toppings. It was a lot of fun. The kids were fascinated by the whole maple syrup making process.
