Hello all! This is my first trip report (though my 12th time to Disney World) so please bare with me.
A little background: my youngest son went into kidney failure in utero. After four fetal surgeries to save his life and several procedures and interventions as well, he decided he'd had enough "pokes" through my belly and wanted to arrive 2 months early. Out of the fire, into the frying pan buddy! He just had his 29th surgery this past Tuesday, but my favorite was number 17 - KIDNEY TRANSPLANT!!!
Needless to say, with many hospitalizations and hours spent on hemodialysis - Mickey got my son, Matthew, through it all!
[/IMG] So, once we got the all clear from the transplant team, we started making plans for Disney! We invited both sets of grandparents to accompany us, (myself, hubby, Matthew and oldest son William) since this was a celebration for ALL us! We told the boys we were off to see the world's largest ball (technically it's not a lie - Spaceship Earth is a VERY large golf ball
They were excited about that! I'll be back tomorrow to tell you how and when we finally told them. And no...I wouldn't be mean enough to keep up the charade until we went the wrong way...thru the cast entrance...or maybe I would.
