I would like to join in and wish everyone a very happy holiday. We opened one present each already, as is the tradition of my family household.
Corey got a digital picture frame. She has been looking at them for about 3 years now and I found a major deal on a Kodak one with WiFi today at
Walmart. They were supposed to be $265 marked down to $249, but the sticker said it was $228 marked down to $180. There were four on the shelf all marked the same. The funny thing is that the exact same frame without the WiFi capability made by Kodak was on the shelf for $179.97. For the additional 3 cents, I got Corey a much better frame!
I got something that I saw months ago in some junk mail magazine. I really wanted one, but I wasn't going to make the effort to order one. It's a caricature box by Martin Perry and it's in the shape of a little Walter E. Disney. He was part of a series of people honored for being the artists, authors, and composers that they were. They are made out of crushed marble, kind of like the Harmony Kingdom pieces are. Anyway, I was super surprised that she remembered it. Because it hasn't arrived yet, I got the picture of the piece wrapped up. I can't wait to be able to open it up to see what little symbol they put inside of the box. I would imagine that it's a hidden Mickey head, but time will tell.
Initially, Corey and I were not going to buy Christmas for each other this year, being that we spent a ton of money going to see the Mouse. But, given the way things turned out, she needed a pick me up and shopping therapy always seems to do just that for her, so we agreed to go ahead and buy some stuff for each other. I hope she likes the rest of her presents.
