It is 7:30pm here now so kids are still coming. I keep having to jump up to answer the door. For the past 2 years there has been a girl with a Disneyland Tour Guide costume. I haven't seen her yet this year, but I hope she comes. That's my favorite.
The best ones so far tonight was a cute little Rupunzel and a toddler dressed as an ape and his Mommy in a safari outfit.
One little girl in my preschool class was going to be Pinkalicious, from the book of the same name. The girl eats so many pink cupcakes she turns pink. Cute book! I read it to my class every year.
We had a young girl with a blond wig, carrying a surfboard with a large bite taken out of it, and one of her arms was tucked inside her shirt so she looked like the girl who lost an arm to a shark attack.
Wasn't sure if I liked it or not - was it in poor taste? Very cleverly done however.
One older kid was in a bulky yellow suit with bright orange stripes, and carrying a guitar. I asked if he was a singing firefighter. His answer, as he straightened out the fake moustache, "No, um, John Lennon actually." Ok, I see now... round glasses... Sgt Pepper, ok. Yeah. Good one!
The two girls with him were in Hogwarts capes. At least he had some imagination. But it really did look like a fireman's suit!
