Just ordered up a Crumpler 7 million dollar home bag.
Augusta used up all her allowance to help buy this one! LOL (Augusta gets 25 cents each time she helps me unload the dryer, We put it in a little cup in the laundry room--that's how the girls buy us gifts; Grace has no compensable skills. Yes, I AM a crazy dog lady!)

Very nice!! :thumbsup2 Dogs did good!

I'm afraid I'm just going to get a slimy tennis ball from my dog.

Congrats on the new 7MDH. I now have the 5 and 6MDH and they are both great---the 6MDH holds everything I own, however I feel like that may be changing sooner than I'd like to believe, but shhhh, don't tell DH. ;)

I remember you telling me when we talked that Augusta helps with the laundry, but I didn't know she got allowance for it! That's probably the funniest and best idea I've heard---although I agree with the PP when I say that "best" gift my dogs have given me was a rabbit they managed to catch and kill in the back yard.

But then I got to thinking--I HAVE to have water with me wherever I go if the temp is above 55 degrees or so. And I figure I can get a good sized bottle in the 7 MDH. Plus, I wanted to make sure I could cram the Gorillapod in there. Plus, I --er Augusta-- got a good deal on it at Adorama. They're closing out the color, I guess. I got the dark brown with the Oatmeal trim. $99.00. The new color ones at B&H are going for $140!!!!
Going to San Antonio at the end of the month, so it should come in handy.

Yeah if you want to carry the water and Gorillapod plus your gear, the 7MDH is probably a better bet. With the 6, I was able to carry the D90 w/ attached 18-200 & reversed hood in the center compartment, the dirty thirty and nifty fifty in the right side and a regular sized bottle of water in the left side. Then I kept the rest of the small stuff (memory cards, lens pen, etc. in the smaller pouches).

One good thing about the Crumplers is that they have a loop for a tripod on the outside of the bag---so if you find that putting the Gorillapod inside is a tight fit with everything else, you can always stick it through one of the outside loops. :thumbsup2

That is a GREAT price. I think my 6MDH (black, discontinued color although I'm not sure how) was like $65 or something. I went to the local camera shop and bought the 5MDH in another discontinued color (the purple and orange) and it was $75!!! I had a gift card so it was fine, but still---talk about a little bit of a rip off :scared:

Happy Mom's Day, Laura. I met Augusta and Grace and they are lovely young ladies...you have done a fine job raising them. :) Hope I get to see that bag soon!

I'm looking forward to our next outing together, Amy. Thanks for the nice words about my furkids. I remember last year, your boys served as models for you for Mom's Day at Sugarcreek Reserve. How did you celebrate it with them this year? Hope you and all the mom's are having a great day today.

Our cats asked me to pick up a print of O. Winston Link's "Maude Bows to the Creeper" for DW for CatMother's day while I was in Roanoke. The railroad is now a bicycle trail that we ride every year.
