Thanks! :) I make those letters (letters with accents) with a French keyboard or International keyboard. Or you can use Ascii table code to write those letters. :cutie:

I have a question for those living in Canada.

My husband has to leave to go up there tomorrow for a business trip, to deliever a truck. He says the company buying the truck told him just to leave it out front because the "whole country" taking the week off -a weeks vacation."

I ask the hubby, "How can a whole country take week off at the same time? What about doctors, border guards, police, firemen, etc. It must just be some kind of celebration but some people must be working this week. Maybe he meant just the company was taking the week off?"

So what is the real scoop?

Hahaha! That's a giant misgiving. Most things are closed today and some people have tomorrow off in lieu but other than that is business as usual. We aren't Europe and unfortunately do not have week long holidays here. Some people do choose to take the week off as school is out so they go to the cottage with their kids or something and are only taking 4 days off of work, like it would be to extend any long weekend.

I would like to have a week off ;-), but it's only one day off. Probably, this company was taking the week off. But, most canadians will work four days this week.

Merci!

And Happy Canada Day from Toronto! Hmm, I wonder if we should wear our red and white santa ears hats today?! lol

:santa:

Je ne suis pas canadien mais ai pris des Français tellement ici que c'est jour heureux du Canada !

Canada Day signifie quoi?
Le Canada Day, fête nationale canadienne a lieu le 1er juillet. Ce jour marque l’unification des anciennes colonies britanniques dont la confédération a eu lieu le 1er juillet 1867.

Hardly anyone's Canadian :lmao:

Ah well... yay for Sass Jordan, who I saw yesterday at a concert for Canada day!!

And 54/40 is tonight. :\
