Happy Birthday Kaileigh! Want to go to Disney? Pre-trip Report

Tomorrow we pick up Christopher:banana::banana::banana: Can't wait to see him and how much he has grown. He will be flying in from Houston to spend the summer with us. We haven't seen him since Christmas. I have his room all ready. It is no longer pink which should make him very happy.:rotfl: I don't think he will like the fact that it is the smaller room, but he took all his stuff to his dad's already. I think as long as he has his tv and video games up there he will be good.:lmao:

11/22
Cancelled 'Ohanas as we are now room only
Wonder if Flipper's pizza is open for Thanksgiving if not there is always the AoA food court

11/23
Cancelled La Hacienda
Now 'Ohanas for dinner

11/24
50's Prime Time for lunch (for some reason I am really not feeling this one I may try to find a dinner instead somewhere else and just have quick service at Starring Rolls for lunch)

11/25
Breakfast 'Ohanas

11/26
BBB for Kaileigh no plans for dinning (thinking of moving 1900 Park Fare here)

11/27
Crystal Palace for lunch and hopefully MVMCP which is still up in the air

11/28
Narcoossee's for dinner

11/29
1900 Park Fare for dinner (thinking of leaving this night open)

11/30
Teppan Edo for dinner

12/1
'Ohanas for dinner

I have seen menu board pictures for AoA and the build your own yogurt parfait and the build your own fruit bowls look so good. That may just become breakfast on a few mornings....Kaileigh and I could split one easily.

How exciting, hope you have a great summer with Christopher. Any plans while he's with you aND THE FAMILY?

I can't wait to try the food court at AoA. I saw a pic of the gelato station today. Num num!:goodvibes

Joining in on your PTR! Your DD is so cute!

I really like the boards you made for the trading pins. I need to try something like that for our pins. My DD collected them in the past, but now, she never fools with them anymore when we go, so I need to get the ones we do have, organized.

Right now the plans are Cedar Point, Soak City, trying for Kings Island during shutdown, Jellystone to swim, and he will stay busy with the youth group at church too.

I know the food just looks good. I won't feel so bad eating fruit and yogurt from there. We will eat enough of the other food at our other meals...:rotfl: We really look forward to the sit down meals, I thought about the deluxe plan but I don't think we would eat all the food. It would be wasted.

:welcome: She loved the boards. I wish I could have taken her with me and let her pick out what she wanted, but she was busy that day. I would like to make one for Christopher because there are some pins she wants him to have and I think he will like them. His I will have him pick out material and ribbon. Teenagers are so much harder to please:lmao:

All changes are in blue. I think I am happy now. I was really hoping for a afternoon tea but it looks like that is a no go. It is being refurbished.

Your restaurant pics sound great. I wonder if the "Be Our Guest" restaurant will be open by the time you arrive. I'm sorry to hear about the tea room being refurbished. I don't know if you have ever done afternoon tea there before but if not, that is a GREAT reason to go back to Disney another time! ;)

Thanks. We have never done the afternoon tea. I thought it would be fun to do after BBB. Daddy would have gone to ESPN while we had tea. I just can't see paying for the Princess tea. Its a doll she wouldn't play with, but I think she would have had fun.

Haven't had much time to dis as I have been working 4:30am to 5pm the last couple of days. Thank goodness for lunch break to be able to sit down. Hopefully I will have sometime to dis this weekend.

Christopher is going to camp next week. The youth group at church goes every year to Camp Cobeac. So he will be gone all of next week. Kaileigh is going to go stay with my aunt tonight. She is taking her little girl and Kaileigh to Sauders Village for Dairy Days. She is so excited. This means Christopher will get a break tomorrow from babysitting. He is babysitting Kaileigh this summer so he can earn some extra money. I also have another girl that will babysit this summer as well. This way I am giving each of them a break.

I am hoping this week goes better and I won't have the 11.5 extra hours although it would make for a nice check.

I need to quit changing things.:rotfl: After talking to DH while driving,(I think I am driving him nuts with the Disney talk) he asked about the restaurant we had crab legs.(Cape May Cafe) He wanted to know if we were eating there. I said no. I hear from the back seat "what no crab legs?!?!".(Kaileigh) We have eaten there on our last two trips and they want to eat there again. So after talking to them both we decided to drop Narccoossees since we are really not fancy people and would probably enjoy Cape May more. So now I have one TS left to figure out. I have Cape May scheduled for dinner on Wednesday 11/28. I know that Be Our Guest is supposed to open during the Holidays, but I am not sure what the menu is supposed to be yet. I do have a picky eater in our group. I am willing to try new things and have passed that on to DD, but DH would be really upset if there wasn't anything on the menu for him. I would love to go to Kona and some others, but have to watch for coconut as well (DH). He did great at 'Ohanas he just couldn't eat the bread or dessert, but they brought him out a beautiful dessert they had created.

In other news....Christopher leaves tomorrow for camp. He is so excited he gets to go.

Anyone else having problems with the formatting of the post? I can't change anything....color....size....font.....

Has anyone ordered cakes for a birthday while at WDW?

If you have, how was it as far as taste and presentation?

I am looking to get a small cake (its just the 3 of us) for Kaileigh's Birthday. I am thinking about getting it for our night at 1900 Park Fare while she is all dressed up.

Be Our Guest menu is out and it looks good. Now I just need to try and fit it in. I would be happy just to go for lunch, but dinner would be nice too. I have one day left to fit it in. It is a party night though. Do they allow you to have a dinner ADR around 7 then head out if you don't have a party ticket?

Loving all of your plans. I haven't ordered a cake but Tim (thatsnice) did on their trip last year and if I remember correctly they enjoyed it! HTH!

Happy 4th of July and may it be bat free. I remember seeing a cake on his tread. I thought he said it looked good but as far as taste not so much. I will have to look it up again. I can't wait to see how your return trip goes especially the GKTW volunteering. That place is awesome and it looks like it has grown since I was last there. Friday nights used to be Navy nights for volunteering and we would go help with serving dinner. I had a blast. The kids were so sweet.

It would be kinda fun to have an escort out.... I picked a dinner in Epcot so I think we will be okay. I have a lunch planned for the day we are thinking about the Christmas Party. I just have to wait to get the tickets since one of the cars decided to have issues. I need to get that fixed first. :headache:

Ugg it is supposed to be another hot day. We are going to head out to a local camp ground. They have a couple of pools and a nice splash area for the kids. My cousin's little one stayed with Kaileigh last night so she will have someone to play with. Christopher is not going since he decided to go stay with a friend last night and tonight. It should be a nice day out just have to make sure to use lots of sunscreen.

So since I last updated I was sunburnt after 6.5 hrs at Soak City with spf 50 kids lotion. Christopher left on his canoe trip today and will be back on Tuesday.

Today DH suggested while we are on vacation we each get a day to choose what park we want to go to and what rides we want to ride. It would be our day to pick everything. I said that is fine, but TS meals are already planned and they stick.:rotfl: I suggested we give Kaileigh Monday Nov. 26 because I have her BBB appointment and 1900 park fare for dinner. I have also been on etsy looking a clothes for her. This is not a good thing because I will go broke with all the outfits we both like. I am thinking about ordering 2 maybe 3 outfits. It just depends on what I can find. I found a page on facebook where disboutiquers had been selling their items, I can't find it again. I loved the stuff on there. I seen a brave dress that was awesome but lost the page....grrrrr.

We will be attending a funeral on Saturday. There is an article here for the ladies. http://www.toledoblade.com/Police-Fire/2012/07/15/2-sisters-shot-dead-in-Blissfield-home.html

The mother in the story is my Aunt by marriage. Her and her husband have been in protective custody along with the children of both ladies and the husband of the youngest. The whole family had been threatened and nerves are running high since the man responsible has not been caught yet.

We had just been over to my aunt's house the night before this happened to drop off the car. My uncle works on the cars for us. Please say a prayer for healing for the family especially the children who have lost their moms as well as the mom who lost 2 of her daughters. Thank you.
