Happy Birthday Grandma, We're going to Disney World, The PTR, HUGE NEWS!!

Ok so I just had another idea, What if Steve and I spent a week down in Disney at POP and his Dad and Step-mom came up to see us? I just looked up prices and It seems as though we can afford it!!

LOL, it is such a good thing that your trip is roughly a year out. Whoa do you have a lot of plans. :)

I can relate to you with the taking Mia but not having the parent. I had my cousin (he's 8) fly in with his grandma over the summer. DF and I had my cousin for 2 days while his grandma stayed with her relatives in Deltona. I knew I wanted to take him to Disney. I felt bad that his parents weren't with him. I felt they should've been there to see his face for all the stuff. But his mom was ok with not being the one to take him. She knew that he would get totally spoiled by me, which would just add to the magic for him. So I am hoping you can convince your aunt to let you take Mia. I understand her wanting to be there but to be honest, it isn't fair to deprieve her of this special trip. Maybe you can recruit grandma into pleading your case to your aunt. I mean there is nothing stopping you guys from doing this trip this year and then planning a big family trip next year (which will give her plenty of time to save).

And if you can't convince your aunt to take Mia, then I guess you will have to do your back up plans. That's really great that your boyfriend has family down here. You'll always have an excuse to come down. :lmao:

I just started planning another trip to disney for the same year:eek:

I know I'm nuts. But this one I KNOW will happen because even if everyone else bails on me, I know Steve will go with me.

Check out the other PTR in my Sig.

Since my Aunt hasn't mentioned ANYTHING about Disney in about a month, I really don't think this trip is happening. I don't want to pressure her So, I don't want to mention anything. The other day at dinner Maddie was asking me to watch videos of "Disneyland" (what she calls it) on youtube but i just acted like a didn't know what she was talking about. I really don't want to get the girls' hopes up.

I'm playing a trip with my friends this summer for Disney Star Wars Weekends.
You can read all about that trip here.

I've also decided that I'm going to take my grandmother to Dinsey next year myself after Thanksgiving when the Holiday Decorations are up. She LOVES christmas and I really want to see the decorations. It would be a long weekend thing and very relaxing. My mom informed me this morning that she has a free plane ticket from a flight she had to cancel. And said that my grandma could use it. But I wouldn't even mention the trip to her until I get back from mine. This would also be her combination birthday/christmas present for that year.

So yesterday my Aunt Jennifer called her travel agent and got a price quote from her for staying on site.

This means she still wants to go.

As much as I we would like to stay on site it's just possible. So were going back to the original plan of staying at the house in Celebration. This will be nice because we will have more room to spread out. We'll have our own in ground pool. We will stay money eating breakfast and/or lunch at home. And eat at the parks for dinner.

Yesterday while my Aunt Jen and I were discussing ticket prices for the Disney Parks, pipes up saying "It's THAT much for tickets into Disney. Why don't we do 2 days at Disney, 2 days at Universal and 2 days at Busch Gardens." My Aunt replies with "Who wants to go to Busch Gardens" She then explained to him how many different parks there are to visit. I guess he's never been to The World and thought it was just Magic Kingdom. Boy has he got a lot to learn.

So, I've been reading a lot of TR's lately and I think i've got the hang of Pin Trading. I'm getting Mia started on it. Possibly thinking about getting her a starter set for Christmas or her birthday at the end of January. I have a feeling though if she wants pins, I or my grandma will be the ones buying them though. I may create a monster with this. But I think it's really something she would enjoy collecting.

People my aunt has seen the light!! We both agreed that rather than we not go at all, my aunt agree that the better idea is to send Mia with my grandmother and me so that Mia can still experience Disney. So now it's:

GIRLS TRIP 2011

:cool1::cool1::banana::banana::yay::yay::dance3::dance3::woohoo::woohoo:

Also my mom decided that it might be a better idea to go sooner rather than later. So, we're moving our trip WAY up and going in May instead October. But I felt like says "Women, now I have to get my ADR's in PRONTO because now the 180 mark past last week!" :headache: :rotfl:

My mom is helping plan the trip because she's the original Disney Commando Planner Extraordinaire in the family. Even though she's not going she wants to make sure we get the best deal possible. (And she a bit of a control freak. I'm lucky she's not on the boards. :rolleyes1) Right now we're deciding whether to book through Disney or American Airlines Vacations. I did some research last night found out that they have some pretty good Disney Packages. I'm also going back and forth over whether to go with the DDP or not. We would save A TON of cash by not going with it. Plus I hear the portions are HUGE and my grandma and I or Mia and I could share and save that way.

We're going to stay on site and fly in so we'll get to use the DME. Right now we're planning on staying Port Orleans French Quarter.

As soon as I book I'm going to start a new PTR.
