Third trip this year, and first one in quite some time where Disney Magic reigned supreme!
Started w/4 nights at BLT, with a fair number of glitches (only serious one was lack of working internet access...fortunately, both DS and I (tethered to our computers for work) had back-up access (aircard/smartphone wifi) and so even tho we incurred significant data charges, but were able to get online--). I did go to the front desk, where a manager apologized and explained the problem is building-wide (I'd asked if maybe we could be moved to a room where it was working--the tech who'd come to try to fix things (he failed) said it was a problem in our villa). He then offered to cover our data charges. I thought that was super generous, and said so, and asked who I should send the number to once we get our bills and know how much expense we incurred. He said, "how about $50/night"...I told him that was much more generous than he needed to be, but he said $50/night would be good if it made us happy. It did. VERY nice of BLT!!!! It showed up as a credit on our bill at check-out.
We enjoyed our 4 nights at BLT, and then splurged on a cab to move over for our 4 nights at the Beach Club...easy-peasy transfer; room at BCV was ready within 90 minutes of our check-in...
Magic bands didn't work at either BLT or BCV, but both resorts fixed the problem--at BCV it took one quick return trip to the front desk...at BLT they saw the problem before we trekked over from Contemporary check-in and fixed it before we even made the trip over to BLT.

It's been a few trips (maybe 4 years?) since we stayed at BLT (one of our home resorts) and we've been repeatedly reminded during our time here of how much we love it...plus, I get to do my early morning swims here! At BLT, neither pool opens til 9; here the DVC pool (and the BC and YC quiet pools) open at 7...plus, this morning they finished cleaning at 6:15 and I got to get in early...(we have a pool view so I saw the pool cleaners packing up to leave...went out and asked if I had to wait til 7 and they said no I could get in then)...SO HAPPY...I have missed my early morning exercise swims at Disney! (and now I know...if I get there before pool-cleaning, or wait til it's done, I can swim at SSR, OKW and at BCV quiet pools...possibly at BWV, too, although I haven't checked over there in the early morning...can't swim early at BLT, WLV, or AKV--good info for an early-morning swimmer like me to have!
It's been a wonderful trip...low crowds at the parks (walked on to Soarin and Test Track yesterday at 9:30 -10 a.m.!)...good food, great atmosphere, "old-style-friendly-helpful" CMs...
I am now remembering just why I love Disney so much!!!
