Happy Anniversary while singing in the rain @ WDW! UPDATE-PPass p.14 & BFF p.15 9/18

SNOW DAY!!! "NO SCHOOL NO WORK- LA-LA-LA-LA-LA-LA" (to the tune from Lion King (No king-No king). hehe I did that to Austy this morning and he said "thats not funny". hehe

So today I have the whole day to be lazy, listen to disney music, possibly do some homework and UPDATE the DIS! YAY! :thumbsup2

I already told princess&her4princes this, but I woke up this morning when DH alarm went off- and I was woken up from my dream that I was at Disney World with my family.. we were only at the resort- but it was still a great dream.. so when I got up- I checked the news- SNOW DAY FOR WORK AND SCHOOL. So I excitedly jumped up:yay:, turned on my disney music, and rushed DH off to work, and then decided it was a disboard update day! hehe

Day 4: Continued
So after the amazing breakfast at Crystal Palace! I was ready to take on the world.. except for once it was kind of sunny, and we were suppose to head to Hollywood Studios after breakfast, but once we were at MK we just didn't want to leave. Soo.. we quickly figured out other plans for the week and headed towards the rope drop- where I shared pictures before.

Since we weren't suppose to be at MK today and this wasn't our FIRST time at MK this week, we didn't really care where we went or what we did- which was kind of nice. It was really casual and relaxing.. there was no list! hehe But I also felt kind of lost cause DH kept saying, what do you want to do? What next? And I had no idea! hehe I was happy just strolling along in MK on the first sunny morning all week.

But we made our first stop at Peter Pan's flight- which had always been one of my favorites. (How funny, as soo as I started writing about this ride- Peter Pan's flight song came on, on my player.. hehe now thats magical right there.) hehe:goodvibes
There was no wait in line, and so we jumped right on. Actually, we were one of the first group of people to ride it that day- because they were still getting it ready when we arrived.

423.jpg

Next we headed to the Haunted Mansion- because we hadn't done this one yet either! I was super excited for this one, idk why but its one of the best attractions- I believe.
I decided since there was a wait to take pictures of the things around us.
426.jpg

I always find these tombstones so humorous!
427.jpg

428.jpg

Then right as I snapped a picture of the doors- the door began to open.. and SNAP. And she was quick to say real snotty "NO pictures on the attraction". I wanted to say "I didn't mean to take a picture of you, the door opened" but I just said "Ok" and kept walking.. I didn't want her putting me in bad mood right before one of the best rides ever!
429.jpg

Then as we walked out- I took one last picture
430.jpg

Austin decided he wanted Splash Mountain" next.. which I absolutely LOVE this ride, but we already rode it, and it was the first day that it was sunny with no rain- or wetness. I was sick of being wet and soggy- and I didn't want to voluntarily get wet. But Austin wouldn't take that answer- so we headed towards SM- he favorite ride. But on the way, DH decided he wanted to use his snack credit already- I said- its like 1030am and you want an ice cream? :confused3 But I can't judge, I love ice cream and I guess if you are going to do it- it might as well be at WDW! hehe

So I made him FIRST stand in line to get a picture with Donald! and then we headed for his "mickey ice cream bar" he had to have.
431p.jpg

I forgot to take a picture of it before.. so I made him stop for me to take a picture.. I told him.. you can tell he is enjoying his yummy melting ice cream bar. ;)
432.jpg

Ready to get WET!
433.jpg

434.jpg

After we were somewhat wet, but still happy it was sunny- we decided to go to Tom Sawyer Island- we have never been and have always wanted to go. I will say this was quite an adventure- this was completely different than I expected. It was an easy-going- fun adventure. If you haven't been- it truly is fun. My fav. part was all the cave tunnels- except DH didn't like them. He said they were to tight and he felt trapped. hehe

While waiting in line:

438.jpg

Finally at the Island:
I absolutely loved this! I love the accent and how things were spelled.
439.jpg

(please excuse any rough looking photos of us.. its was pretty warm- and we were sweaty and also tired from lack of sleep the night before).
440.jpg

View on the Island- Splash Mountain I believe..
442.jpg

443.jpg

I made him pose- and told him to put it up and be like "atent hut" hehe He wanted to push me! hehe But he loves me. :rotfl:
444.jpg

445.jpg

Before DH RAN out of the longest dark black tunnel- I made him stop- I propped up the camera- and said "lets show our true feelings" I think we hit it on the head.
446.jpg

I love the small touches of Disney!
447.jpg

Next- after TSI- what did we do next? More MK? Head to HS or back to the Resort? Dinner at BOMA!!!!

No readers.. no takers? Have I completely lost everyone with my slacking?!:sad1:

Honestly, still no readers?! This makes me sad..:sad1: But I must push through and finish this TR as promised.

When I left off, we had just finished at Tom Sawyer Island.. and we were both pretty beat. It was so sunny and nice out but we had an early morning, the wonderful sun was sucking our energy, and it was getting into the middle of our vaca when lack of sleep was catching up to us. We kept debating what to do. So we decided that we would just head back to the room for a bit of relaxing, possibly swimming, and then head to dinner at BOMA! My most looking forward to dinner! and because we were visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge! :woohoo:

On our walk back to the bus-

I took a picture of this- so I would remember to return for an amazing ice cream cookie sandwich!
448.jpg

and were stopped by this:
451.jpg

452.jpg

453.jpg

454.jpg

and I was very happy with how these pictures turned out. As most of you know everything moves fast, the dancers, the characters and its often hard to get good pictures of the parade. But I was a quick snapper- and am pretty happy.
We didn't stay for the entire parade.

But as we arrived to the resort, after stopping at the store, grabbing a few snacks, and laying on the bed for about 30 minutes.. I was getting antsy. Whether this was a good thing- who knows.. but I didn't want to waste this amazing day in the room, nooo matter how tired I was. So after begging and nagging and arguing with DH about what we should do- he gave in and headed to Typhoon Lagoon before dinner. I felt that this was the best day for us to go because it was really warm and sunny. BUT I said- I want to relax- so we should just sit around the lazy rivers, lay in the sand and enjoy the weather..

Sure we could of floated around in the pool at our resort- but I felt that we could easily swim at the pool anytime.. even at night when we return. I would rather take time to go to a water park now- since we we changed our schedule all around after we arrived.

So finally Austy gave in, and we headed to TL.

So even though we both agreed we wanted to relax at TL.. once Austin arrived and seen all the water slides- he disagreed.
I did talk him into the lazy river first.. and that was nice. We talked to fellow floaters and they commented on my disney tattoo.. and he told his wife "I should get a disney tattoo". But after we were done- DH said "What should we do now" I tried to talk him into relaxing but he wasn't having it and wanted us to do things- So I finally agreed- EXCEPT- I kind of have a fear of crazy water slides- and especially really steep/tall slides.

I think it has something to do with- when I almost drowned in the ocean- in FL during my spring break my senior year- but ever since then my fear of water/slides and so forth is wayy worse. I like pools- I just don't like being in really deep water, I have a fear of touching the bottom now (even though when I was a kid- I grew up in my gmas pool- that was 10ft deep), and I don't prefer crazy water rides.. especially when I'm alone.

Well I tried pointing out things that I was willing to do on the map- which were great rides- but Austin was mad because "they were to far away" and he wanted to ride "the one that was right here". So after I tried to convince him to go stand in line and do it- while I laid in the sand- he wouldn't- and got mad and said fine- lets just leave. and he seriously, went to the locker- grabbed our stuff and went and changed his clothes.

So I went and changed and almost started crying because I felt like he was being unfair. It's not my fault I don't like crazy water slides, and I have a fear of water.. and he knew before we even went to WDW that there was going to be things that I wasn't going to do- and I told him "You can do them alone- I won't be mad". His thing is that he doesn't want to wait in a long line alone forever. pff.

So after we changed our clothes, we headed to the bus to go to AKL, even though we were WAY early- by hours. and we didn't talk to each other for like 20 mins. But after sitting on the bus and relaxing a little bit we finally talked.

Next up- Did Austy like AKL? Did we finally get along? did we like Boma?
and just for fun:
a preview picture of amazing chairs and sitting area!!

(Sorry about the lack of pictures at Typhoon Lagoon- its kind of hard to take pictures in the water with a non waterproof camera, and while arguing...:guilty:

Just saying hi! I'm going to go back now and read your updates to get caught up!

Aw Tom Sawyer Island looks like it was fun for you guys! We haven't done it for a few years. We are still sad that they closed Aunt Polly's-which is where we used to get yummy treats and sit at tables across the way from the Haunted Mansion.

But...I have not and will never go in those caves!

You are right, that parade does move fast. We haven't really taken the time yet to stop and watch it all.

I haven't been to any of the water parks yet, but it sounds like it was nice. And it's always fun to meet nice people while in line.

Love the pic of the chairs. I could sit there right now! :cloud9:

Just found your TR and read the whole thing. We just got back from a trip to WDW about 3 weeks ago and I'm ready to go back already!

Thanks for the TR Jen. I have been enjoying your trip!:thumbsup2

YAY COMMENTS!! :woohoo::cutie:

Hello tinkgurl! I'm glad your back! Your trip so soo close!

I have never been to Aunt Polly's so I have nothing to miss.. hehe but I liked Tom Sawyer- its prob. not something I would do everytime but it was fun- especially the bridges, pathways and caves!

But...I have not and will never go in those caves!

hehe You have never went through caves? I thought you had to at certain points to get to the end. The only one that freaked me out was the last one because its extra long and I felt like I was stuck!

I can't believe of ALL the times you have went you haven't been to ANY of the wateparks! I have only been to Typhoon Lagoon. I wanted to ride the rollercoaster water slide- I can't remember the name. But of course we didn't do that because DH was being a weirdo. But next time we will prob go to Blizzard Beach cause my bro wants to go there really bad. But the rides there are more thrill and scary so idk!

Love the pic of the chairs. I could sit there right now! :cloud9:

I could too! I loved it there. I also thought the chairs were amazing!

YAY! Welcome!!! :cheer2: I'm glad that you joined in! I went in May09 and I'm still trying to finish! hehe BUT I'm glad that it has taken me so long because my next trip is soo far away. It keeps me in good spirits! I will check your TR out as well- prob. tomorrow during work or on the weekend!

Thanks for the TR Jen. I have been enjoying your trip!:thumbsup2

Awww.. thanks for reading! :goodvibes Hopefully I can make another update soon!

When I last left off, we were leaving Typhoon Lagoon and taking a bus to AKL- where we were having dinner at Boma!! I was extremely excited about this because I have never been the AKL and I was excited to hangout at this amazing resort. I also knew how much Austy would love this place. As I said last time, because of the arguing we left the waterpark WAY to early and arrived at AKL extra early- by hours. I believe we had like 2 1/2 hours to wait for dinner. We even tried to check in early- but they didn't open til 4:30- which our resse time.

When we first arrived- I went into the bathroom, changed into nicer clothes and got cleaned up the best I could. I added a little makeup, some smelly scents and went back to meet Austy.

When I finished- we decided to walk outside and check out the animals and the beautiful surrounding.
463.jpg

464.jpg

I was amazed by this resort. It's everything I could ask for- besides a beach. hehe
Here are some pics I took:

462.jpg

Finally after walking around.. we settled at this seating area with a pretty sweet view of animals.
455.jpg

I loved these chairs- I wanted to take a few home and put them on a big back porch- which I don't have.. but would like to have! hehe
And then I set up a camera- for a pic of us as this beautiful place but Austy blinked!
457.jpg

I actually have a few more pics on my phone but DH lost my phone cord that plugs into the computer.. soo idk what to do.

After sitting there, we went inside and sat at a little circular area off to the side by the check in desk. We both ended up dosing off for a bit. We were both starving when we woke up.
And finally- eating time!
This is what Boma looks like when empty! hehe
460.jpg

461.jpg

We checked in a few mins early. And were seated almost immediately after it opened. Its great to go right when they open because the crew plays a little music and cheers before it lets you in.
What can I say about the food: It was amazing. There was A LOT of choices. It's a buffet style dinner and there is tons of things to try. When we first entered the line- there were some things that looked iffy- but we gave it a try and everything that I ate was delicious. I will definitely return in the future.
Some of the many things we tried. Yes, we both left not feeling so well.. but it was worth it! hehe

Next up: A night at Magic Kingdom, a yummy snack credit, a pretty ring, and awesome parade!

Glad that you are updating again!

Boma looks like fun. On the last plate, what is the chocolate item at about the 8 o'clock position on the plate?

Are you talking about the white/chocolate item? or the chocolate cup item? The white/choc. item were zebra domes. DH loved them.. I thought they were pretty good. The choc. cup thing- I'm not sure of the name. sorry. But I remember it was kind of like a peanut butter cup except the middle filling was really creamy and smooth. It practically melted in your mouth! hehe

Oooh Boma looks like it was nice. I love the zebra domes! :thumbsup2

Yes it was nice. I wish I would have taken more pics of the surroundings but I was to absorbed in the food. hehe

I don't know how crazy of fans you are of Alice in Wonderland. But it has always been one of my favorite movies.. its one of those classic favorites. Well I did see the new movie and loved it. But I was a little disappointed with the 3D aspect- but it could have been the crappy theater we chose to go to because it was closer than the usual one and it wasn't IMAX. But it was still a great story with great acting. Anyways, the other night I decided to search AIW apparel and jewelry- just because I love wearing disney items, especially the hidden small touches and because I need to do further research on things to wear for future trips. Well.. I just googled items the other night and seen soooo many things. IT CRAZY how much it out already and then this morning I got an email from disneystore.com and went there. Just from this site alone, these are the items I want. Of course, they are all expensive because its Disney Couture and other name brands that are affiliated with disney stuff. Here are some items. I wanted to share my excitement with fellow disney lovers. :upsidedow

Shirts:
I loved the style of this tank top- it has a picture of Mad Hatter on the side.
103059M.jpg

103065M.jpg

This one is prob. my favorite of all. I love the shirts that have an abstract look to it- like it s a painting on a shirt. hehe
103067M.jpg

Jewelry:

103251.jpg

Also, you can create own own shirt with the AIW crew!

Of course, I'll have to narrow and decide what I want.. hehe
