Welcome to my first PTR! Allow me to introduce myself and my family (sort of, I'm not using our names). I'm 35 (almost 36), mom of three, and an RN. I love reading, crafts and music. My husband (Hubs) is a 41 year old engineer and has recently started a side cosplay prop business. He and I have been married 13 years and will be celebrating our 14th Anniversary October 26, the day before we'll arrive in WDW for our trip! We have three children, our son Lego (14), our daughter Whirly Girl (11, she'll be 12 for the trip) and our son Bruiser (7, will be 8 for the trip). This will be my sixth trip to WDW, Hubs' third trip, and our second trip with the kids.
Our last trip all together was in 2012 and that was the kids' first trip. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside then and had a fantastic time! The kids are four years older now, and looking forward to riding some of the rides they were too small/too scared for last trip.
Trip details:
Dates: Thursday October 27-Friday November 4
Resort: Caribbean Beach Resort
Six day, Non-park hopper tickets and (paid for, boo!) Quick Service Disney Dining Plan
I've been dying to go to WDW in the Fall because it's my favorite time of year. Our last few trips to Florida have been in February over the President's Day weekend holiday. Last year, we took a trip to Orlando to go to Universal. We rented a house with some friends and I vowed to avoid Disney completely because I knew once I went there, I wouldn't want to leave! I know it is much less expensive to stay off property, but I love being in the Disney bubble. Despite my vow, we did visit what was then still Downtown Disney.
Universal was great, but I left and immediately started thinking about returning to Disney. We have been saving toward the trip since then and late last year, I booked it! We chose to go over Halloween and into the first week of November so that we get to experience the Fall decorations and at least some of the Christmas decorations at the Magic Kingdom. I've wanted to do this ever since the first time I saw this video. I mean, how fantastic is that?!
Our trip is more than five months away, but I already can't wait!!
