I've been reading a lot of threads on here about folks irritated with their spouses or those that are having problems because of major issues. I wanted to contribute something positive--not to offend those having problems, but to express how grateful I am to be in stable and loving marriage.

DH and I will celebrate 12 years of marriage on Friday. He is my best friend, biggest supporter, and the one person in life who I can always count on. I am almost finished with my MBA studies, and he has been wonderful in helping me with the house, the pets, and sometimes giving me ideas when I need them for school. When I'm sick, he takes good care of me. He surprised me with flowers today because we won't be home for me to enjoy them properly on our anniversary. Perhaps most importantly, he loves Disney (I think more than I do.)

I just feel very fortunate to have him in my life and I hope that all of you who are facing hard times right now eventually find your way to the same happiness I have.

What a nice story..This year is our 12th anniversary as well. We have weathered some storms, but he is my true partner in everything..

He is working OT, and I miss him:love:

Congratulations on 12 years!!

DH and I are still in the "honeymoon" phase...we'll be married 2 years in September. But he is my best friend, my heart, my soul...I never knew I could love someone so much.

I enjoy hearing stories like your's. It's what I would like to have one day and it reminds me to have hope. :)

We will celebrate our 35th anniversary in July. I can't believe how well we still get along and how much we still love each other.

35 years - with the same spouse!

May 1st we will be married 25 years! We've been together 30 years. Of course we had lots of problems, but the last 10 have been the best!

Happily married for 12 years in a couple of months here too!

I love my husband. We compliment one another is so many ways.

I miss him so much when he is gone.

I agree OP, isn't it sad to see so many people in unhappy marriages, so many on the verge of divorce?
DH will be celebrating our 30th in September. We've had our ups and some major downs but......we're still hanging in there. LOL
I sorta like the man.....and I think he sorta likes me. A little bit. Somewhat. Pretty much. :p

Can't wait for the next 30 years with the guy.

Eddad and I will have been together 13 years this May..I think we have certainly both got the In sickness and in Health part down...He's my soul mate.

Great thread! :thumbsup2

14 years of marriage this Aug (and 18 years of being together, half of our lives.)

He is a great guy, wonderful husband and terrific dad! (and he loves Disney World as much as I do, or more!) :thumbsup2 :cool1: Yep he is a keeper! :dance3:

Fast approaching one year! My DH has been deployed since Aug 2006. I'm looking forward to the second year when he can be home & we have our newlywed stage!:goodvibes

My mom and dad will have been married 37 years in June.

Man, am I old. ;)

We'll have been together 21 years in May 2007 and married 11 years in August 2007 (yup, we were together for 10 years before we married :) ). We have a great relationship--not perfect, but great. He is truly my best friend for life. I feel very lucky, every day of my life.

DH and I will be married 22yrs in October. We have been together for 26 yrs. Yikes!!!! Did I just say that? It can't be possible, I'm only 29.:rotfl2:

My big manly-man DH spent 4 hours last night patiently assembling my best friend's wedding invitations with me. He cut ribbon, tied bows, and stuffed envelopes with a smile on his face.

He's an incredible guy and ever day I find a new reason why!

Our 8th anniversary is in two weeks. Even though DH drives me crazy on occasion with his "man brain", I feel so blessed to have him. He is an awesome father, a hard worker and loves my parents as much as I do (which is a big plus with me). He supports me in whatever I do and seems to have more confidence in my abilities than I do. It took me a long time to find him, but he was well worth the wait.

Man, I sure hope my next husband is as good as this one. :teeth:
