Observe the following picture:

These are the first 2 characters involved, me and Bella. BTW- this took about 10 pics to get it somewhat right so I gave up. The photographer was a 4 year old who didn't get paid for his work.

I, Leyla 35, am the trip planner, booker, spender. I love vacations, period!

DSC01620.jpg

Dh is Pierre, 42, he starts drinking beer at the airport and does what I tell him to do on vacation. He's just happy to get away and I'm happy he lets ME have MY way!

Bella, 7, She is Hannah Montana's #1 fan. See below

DSC01764.jpg

She worked 3 Saturdays in a row at her Grandpa's pizza shop to pay for a membership to Miley'sWorld. She also chose the name of our trip report and MADE me make her custom t-shirts for the trip. She won't wear girl style tshirts because they all have capped sleeves and she doesn't "do that". Luckily the lady at our Disney Store told me the local craft store had boy style t's in all colors- 4 for $10. I found transfers on ebay and she's happy! She's a total tomboy, hockey (see my sig) is her favorite but baseball (shout out to Red Sox nation!!!) is a close second.

Cooper, 4, ahhhh, my little love! He can't wait to meet the Power Rangers for real this time, he did before but had a last minute meltdown so we know how that goes. He's psyched for it this time and keeps telling me he'll be brave for the rides.

Last but not least, is my Dad, Bob, 60 something. He will join us for the first 3 days (can you say free babysitter?). He has not had a vacation in over 10 years so I'm very excited for him although Pierre is not too thrilled.... I have no picture of him right now but will post one later.

Right now we have 45 days left.

Great pictures! The kids are adorable. Hope you all have a blast on your trip!!

I had originally booked 3 days at WDW followed by a 4 night Wonder cruise. I was so excited, having never cruised before and I watched tons of videos on youtube :surfweb: as well as the planning DVD and of course getting all teared up when the horn blows. I was obsessed with the cruise section on the Disboards but sauntered over to the theme park planning and trip report section since I needed to plan my 3 WDW days too. I saw all the hype about the upcoming "free dining" and wanted in on the action especially since it was being offered during the time we were there anyways. I talked to Pierre about it and he said if it saves us XXX amount of $$$ then I could swap the cruise/WDW with 7 days of WDW.

I made all of my dining reservations just in case I was lucky enough. The second I was able to call for it I was on the line and SCORED!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: The only thing I would have to do is change resorts. I had CSR booked and had to switch to CBR but since we had to nix the cruise we could still feel like we made it to the Caribbean so it worked out better. I also decided to join TGM so I'll be testing him out too! Here's a couple of beach pics to get you in the mood!

So far my dining reservations are as follows:

Restaurant Marrakesh- arrival night dinner
Crystal Palace- day 2 lunch
Wolfgang Pucks and Pleasure Island- day 2 dinner for Leyla and Pierre
Sci-fi Theater- day 3 lunch
Asherkus- day 3 dinner for Leyla and Bella
Kona Cafe- day 4 dinner
Coral Reef- day 5 dinner
Whispering Canyon Cafe- day 7 dinner

counter services will be wherever, whenever although there are a few places I really want to try! We love to eat :cake: and I appreciate a few cocktails :drinking1 so I will try to do a small food report incorporated into our regular trip report!

More to come!!!!! :cool1:

Cooper has a serious Cirque Du Soleil obsession. I got the dvd for myself last year and he couldn't tear his eyes away from the tv. We took him to see Corteo in Boston for his birthday last year and got tix for La Nouba for this trip. I also just saw that the Jungle Cirque show is going to be in Providence in Dec and he wants that for his birthday. He loves shows and I like to take them to Broadway instead of wasting money on a stupid toy that they'll forget about for bithdays. We just saw Beauty and the Beast for the second time 2 weeks ago since it was closing for good. The Little Mermaid is replacing it.

Bella is not interested in seeing it so I only got tickets for Bob, Pierre and Cooper. She and I will be having dinner at Asherkus. Hopefully Belle will be in her blue dress! That is the only princess she is even remotely interesed in and I'm sure she will spend the ENTIRE time grilling them about whether or not they know Hannah Montana. :rolleyes1 This is shirt #3.

I found out about the pirate cruise for kids so I HAD to book that. I know Bella will go crazy (forewarning to anyone who sees us, she is LOUD and goes NUTZZZ on rides, in an embarassing way) You'll probably hear her hootin' and hollerin' all over the World. :cool1: :woohoo:

Anyways, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE reading everyones trip reports so hopefully you will like mine!!! I'm not that witty like some others but will try to do this in the style that appeals to me. That means lots of pics, but little words!

Pierre and Bob are both Type 1 diabetics. Pierre is on the minimed pump so I'll try to do a unit countdown which will give you an idea of how much food he can put away!!! popcorn:: :cake: :scared:

I think your daughter and my neice would be best friends! Anytime I mention WDW, she asks "Can we go there and see Hannah Montana!?" (Her name is Hannah, too, which makes her even crazier about it!)

And she's the kid that you can hear laughing through the WHOLE movie theater- I have a feeling she'd be similar on the rides!

Can't wait to hear about your trip! Not too long to go!

Cute! Bella stalks anyone with the name Hannah or Miley.

Cute kids!

My 9 year old daughter LOVES hockey too!

Thanks! We just went to my dh's hockey tournement and she was SO loud!!! What team does you dd like? Our's is the Bruins.

Nice start to your TR, looks like you have a good time planned and some nice restaurants. You are gonna love the CBR, when you sit out there in the hamocks and listen to the music it really does feel like you are in the tropics. The colors of the buildings are awesome and the rooms are themed just right.

I have some pics in our TR of the CBR last year.

Does your DH play in hockey leagues? He looks like he could put a real hurtin on the the other guy.

Yes, he does, in CT and MA. About him putting the hurtin' on someone... this year he has had a broken cheekbone, palate, and possibly nose which he had a plate inserted for and last week he had his neck sliced by a skate (a team mate tripped) and that required stitches. Thank goodness he has a double chin, LOL!

I can't wait to check out CBR! Thanks for reading!!

I keep saying that I am not going to subscribe to any more reports but here I am.:rolleyes1 Your kids are adorable and I am jealous.I was a tomboy and always wanted one of my own but my girls are a girly as they come.:confused3 I guess I will just have to read about yours.:) We stayed at CBR last year and it is beautiful. We are eating at alot of the same restaraunts on our trip.
looking forward to more.:surfweb:

More Planning

Last year we went to WDW and stayed at POFQ and it was my family and my sister's family. We used Northwest for the first time, and last mind you. I cannot believe the delays we had and we ended up missing 2 connections. We ended up getting to the resort about 10 pm and missed our Cinderella dinner that was booked at the GF. We were supposed to arrive at 2 pm which would have given the kids swimming time and resort exploration time. So this year I decided to try Southwest for the first time ever. I got the tix the day the dates came out since I wanted one of the first flights out and they are nonstop from Hartford. PLEASE tell me you all have positive experiences with Southwest!!! We SHOULD arrive around 10:30 AM and plan to let the kids swim for a while then head off to Epcot. Our dinner is at 7 and I want to see Illuminations afterwards.pixiedust: I am most excited about eating at Restaurant Marrakesh. My Dad is Iranian and this will totally be up his alley. I remember going to Epcot years ago and just LOVING Morocco. He hasn't been back to Iran in 28 years so I think the whole feel of the place will bring back memories for him!

Crocs: Bella got a pair for Christmas last year and loves them. I saw on the budget board that the google checkout was offering a deal through Dicks for $10 off and free shipping. I ordered a pair for myself and told Pierre about it. He checked out the site and liked the NFL ones so when he ordered those I got another pair, the Sassari (?) ones. I got Cooper the Airwalk ones at Payless because he wasn't sure if he wanted them but he LOVES them so before we go I will get him some proper ones. They are also Jibbitz crazy and have a bunch of them. Bob tried on Pierre's crocs and got a pair of the Silver Cloud ones. So.... we are a crocified family!

I made Bella a Hannah Montana backpack too since she didn't like the one that is availiable through Toys r Us. I swear, this kid!!!! At least I can shop at a second-hand store, Walmart and Old Navy for her stuff and she thinks it's the greatest so it saves me alot of money. In addition to no capped sleeves: no tanks, jeans, dresses, skirts (unless they are sweatpant material), etc. I only get trackpants, soccer shorts, baggy tshirts and sweatshirts.

Here's our countdown calendar. 44 days!!!! :woohoo:

Thanks for subbing! Have you eaten at any of the restaurants? The only one I've been to is Crystal Palace so I'm excited to try the others.

Your countdown clock looks cool. I am getting more ideas for the next one I make, I made DW card to flip over each day, I am going to post them on my board later tonight. She loves them.

We took Southwest last year and loved it, the pilot said he flew a little higher on the way there so we got in a little early. We told one of the flight attendents it was our honeymoon, and when we landed they brought us a little card and a bottle of champagne to say congrats. Then they announced it on the intercome and everyone cheered for us. :woohoo: We felt like rock stars.
