My dd will be turning 8 in a few weeks and she wanted to use the "country" aspects of the latest Hannah movie to come up with games and crafts for her party. I thought about ordering some inexpensive bandanas from Oriental Trading and then letting the girls embellish them with jewels and fur trim, etc. My question is, what would be the best glue to use to get all these things to stick--I guess I could use hot glue, but I'm afraid it will make the fabric too stiff -- any other inexpensive suggestions out there?

the best suggestion I have is to go to walmart and get the cheapest fabric or tacky glue they have hope that helps

try Aileen's Tacky Glue. It comes in a Gold bottle with white top.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have that at home actually, but had never used it on fabric before. Maybe I'll do a dry run a few weeks before the party to see how well it works.

I second the fabric glue idea, you could test it out if your unsure, hot glue wont hold up well though.

What about a bean bag toss, you could toss them into a cowboy hat or boot.

If you want another idea you could do a cookie decorating thing, the cookies could be cut out into 'country' shapes.
