Thank you! And, yeah, that medal. LOL
Great race and great write-up! Congratulations on the new PR! Love that top they gave you - the cowbell on the back just makes it so awesome!
Thank you. I'm pretty happy with that top. The cowbell in particular made me happy. I'm easy to please.
I just want you to know, I was listening to "Don't Fear the Reaper" while reading this recap. It did not have enough cowbell.
Congrats on the awesome PR! I know you had your doubts about just going for it, and I'm really glad you went out there and did it and got a great PR. Bonus points to
@Chris-Mo for being an awesome encourager and run partner and helping you get to the finish.
Now you get to celebrate this one all the way to your Dopey corral!
Is there ever really enough cowbell? I think not. Thank so much. I'm glad I went for it too and couldn't have pulled it off without
@Chris-Mo
2:11???!
Holy Bleep!!!
Hot Dang!!!
I have a new goal...to be as fast as zellyb
You are FASTER than Zellyb. Just need to find that perfect race with great conditions and you will kill it!
Congrats on an awesome run and a new PR!
I love your "shut up legs" mantra. I may need to borrow it sometime. Sometimes in my case it's more "shut up brain" haha.
Yeah, I'm not sure how much of the time it was my legs and how much was my brain. I think some of both! Thank you.
Oh wow, really well done on your PB. Love the outfit. You know what made me chuckle when I read your report was the way you put your race objectives in descending order of probability, yet you went out and got something you didn't even imagine you could.
I honestly didn't think I could pull of a sub-2:15 and was sketchy on making the 2:15, so it was pretty exciting to see that final time. Thank you!
Congrats on your PR!
Looks like you also got some good race swag which makes the PR even sweeter because you can wear it and remember the great race you had!
Thank you. I'll definitely be wearing that top in future. Well, as long as I don't gain much weight that is.
You did great
@ZellyB huge congrats! Very happy you were able to smash the race, just wow! That's a great race shirt too, so nice when you get a good one that you'll actually be able to wear. Yay to you!!!
Thank you! I've gotten some lousy shirts before that I've never worn again, so this was a nice surprise.
Okay, so first and foremost: your marathon shirts this year need to have "F*** tired!" on them! Perfect for the Dopey Challenge...let's just ignore the fact that it's not super family friendly, yes? But really, you will need to hear "F*** tired!" by marathon morning.
Amazing job - I had no doubt both of you would crush this race. Look at all of those sub-10:00/mile splits! Also, you are a true hero for feeling like puking at the end, NOT puking, and then having a beer right after. That takes true skill. So proud of you both!
Chris was surprised I wrote it on a Disney message board, so not sure I should risk it on a shirt at the parks, but it will definitely be running through my mind.

You know, sometimes you just have to power past the desire to puke to get to the beer.
Amazing job! You guys killed it! I ran his race too and the weather was perfect but that steady incline really took it's toll. Congratulations!
Hey, fellow Mo Cowbeller!! Congrats on your race as well. We've run this race once before, so I remembered the hill and knew it would be a challenge, but luckily managed to get through that bit!
