Hanging up my running shoes-Update on ZellyB

Congrats on getting that 17 miler done! Especially running solo! I agree Chris is a pretty great husband the way he cheered you on! Definitely sending prayers your way for a good stress test!

OMG I am such a jerk for forgetting to mention this - CHRIS. I am so relieved to hear that whatever he has going on is likely not serious, really hoping for good results from his stress test! And I think it is SO adorable that he kept meeting up with you during your run...what a keeper!! :lovestruc

I agree that 2016 has been pretty crap-tastic. Here's to 2017 being awesome...please!!! :worship:

Oh man! Sending positive thoughts your way and hoping the best for Chris!

Great job on getting through that 17 miler. Mentally I was just like you wanting to quit during it but we both pushed through. You obviously had Chris to help which probably helped even more. Just keep pushing and you'll do great!

Man, 2016 has been raunchy to you-with your good attitude and supportive running buddy, 2017 is sure to be better!

Sending good thoughts to Chris for Friday's stress test!

And congrats on a loner 17 mile run! The head games are the worst when running--but you did it!! I think both you and Chris are ready for Goofy-I hope to see ya'll at the half!

Congrats on getting through the 17 miler! Glad you had a cheerleader. As bad as you felt mentally, it shows serious mental toughness that you were able to get through it away!

Positive vibes your way for Chris's stress test!!

Wishing you the best! How great of Chris to keep you going! For your longest solo run, it had to be nice to know that he was always just right around the corner at the next meeting spot. The mental game is real. Just think to yourself on race day of this "one more" mentality and you'll crush it!

Thank you. It was a major help having him along the way. Really broke the run up into sections I could manage. Plus I could tell myself each time that I could quit when I got to Chris. HA! Of course, he wouldn't let me, but it got me through some tough miles anyway. :)

Thank you. Really feeling encouraged that we will get a good report.

You are not a jerk!! Thanks so much for the good thoughts. 2017 is bound to be amazing - if only by comparison. ;)

That mental think is really tough right? So glad we both got through it and come WDW marathon weekend, we'll be glad we did.

That old saying about running really being so much more mental than physical is absolute TRUTH!! Thanks for the vote of confidence and I hope we get to see you too!

Thank you so much!! He's a great cheerleader. I should buy him some pom-poms! :cheer2:

IT'S GOOD NEWS FRIDAY!!!
:flower1:
Chris had his stress test today, and while we have to wait for the official report from the cardiologist and his doctor, all looks good. YAY!!! Basically a benign arrhythmia that shouldn't cause him any problems on its own. Added bonus - while I was waiting for him to finish the test, I got a lot of Christmas shopping done on my phone via the Amazon app. :santa: He should be all clear to go back to running and we should be in good shape for Goofy in January. Happy day!

I also got word from our DVC rental place that we can add a 5th onto our BCV studio. She put in the request to add Drake and said she'd let me know in a few days once he was officially added. That's a huge relief too and will save us some money where I had booked him a room at All Star Sports which I should now be able to cancel.

Lastly, I'm doing some looking at flights to DL for the Tinkerbell weekend and found a great rate out of Kansas City. It's non-stop which is awesome, but the times are not great for coming home and it's one of those Delta economy flights, so you are locked in. We'd need to get a hotel room likely the night before and then park our car since it's about a 3 hour drive from our house to the airport, but the airfare is like $300 less per person than flying from our home town. Plus the non-stop deal which is great. There are lots of really cheap hotels near the airport and economy parking, so it would still be considerably less. Need to really run the numbers and talk to Chris before I book, but it looks like our most economical option and I love the non-stop option which would save us like 3 hours in travel time in the air.

Anyway, nice way to conclude a work week with some wonderful news!!! I'm excited about our weekend too. We are having some of our couple friends over for a Christmas dinner party Saturday night. So excited. My sister is a mini-Martha Stewart and already help me get the table all set. It's all about the Nutcrackers!!

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

Wow, that's a nice roll of good news! Congrats and positive news all around!

Great news on so many levels! Happy that your suspicions about the stress test were confirmed and there wasn't anything super serious going on. And what a relief that you can finally add your son to your room! I can't wait to hear how like staying there.

And talk about a gorgeous table setting! Makes me want to throw a party (that is if I had a Martha Stewart sister too that could make everything look nice!).

HAPPY FRIDAY, EVERYONE!!!

So glad to hear that Chris is in the clear--almost officially! :cool1:

Yeah for Christmas shopping getting done! I still have some left!

Wow that table looks awesome! :worship: Martha Stewart I am not, and I don't have any Marthas in my family either. Oh well-still happy for you that you have one!

It's getting closer :dogdance:

Yay, awesome news!! So glad Chris is okay, and that you can add Drake to your BCV room. Just in time!

Can't help with the flights. :scratchin $300 is a lot of money to save but being locked in is freaky!

Great news! Glad all is okay with Chris and that they finally changed the occupancy.

Wonderful news on Chris! and getting the occupency changed for your room & getting 17 done! That's awesome he cheered you on during it! Glad your PF is manageable too & not slowing you down getting the runs in. Mine has gotten better somewhat too, I started some heat therapy that's helped a ton & stopped wearing a pair of winter boots that might have been a part of the start of it. Sounds like you have great omens now so you'll have a great trip & Goofy run! That table setting is beautiful too!

Nice to have good news come in bunches just like bad news does sometimes!

I would never have gone to that much trouble for a table setting, but my sister wouldn't have it any other way. Lucky me!

Glad to hear everything seems to be working out. That's always exciting.

Thank you!

So close now!!! I still have Christmas shopping to finish up too, but at least I got a chunk of it done. Less than two weeks away now! How did that happen???

Yeah, we still haven't decided but we are leaning toward saving the money...

Great news! Glad all is okay with Chris and that they finally changed the occupancy.

Thank you! Can't wait to stay at Beach Club!!!

Wonderful news!!!!!

Glad to hear your PF is improving as well. Mine just keeps getting better and that's a huge relief. I absolutely think my flip flops this summer were a big culprit, so I'm not surprised if you found it was a specific pair of shoes contributing.

TRAINING UPDATE
We're almost there, folks!!!
Training was not great during this week since we were still dealing with some uncertainty and concern about Chris' health. Combine that with my having to run alone and it getting STINKING COLD here, and I didn't do great on my mid-week runs. I ended up running my Tuesday run in the evening on my sister's treadmill. I did get my four miles in and honestly it wasn't too bad. It went by pretty quickly and I had my music in to pass the time, so at least I got it done. Thursday I was planning to run on the treadmill again, but Chris and I had to do some things at home in the evening and I just didn't get to it. womp.womp.

With encouraging news from the stress test on Friday, Chris decided he could run our 8 mile training run on Saturday. It was pretty chilly starting out (around 22 degrees), but we layered up pretty well and there was very little wind, so we had a nice, solid 8 mile run. It was so nice to have Chris back for company, so the run went by quickly. I felt comfortable the whole time and body and mind felt strong, so that's a win!!! We had a dinner party that night and while we had some cancellations, it was still a great time with 6 of us. Lots of good food and company. YAY!!

I did get notice as well that our magic bands have shipped and we got our DME luggage tags as well, so it's getting real now. I can't wait to head for warm, sunny Florida. RDP - during our second marathon run at Disney with my SIL and BIL. Villains!!!!

Glad you had a good 8-miler and that Chris got back out there!

Can't believe we're getting so close...

Really love the RDP! I feel like the excitement for all of you gearing up for marathon weekend, and it's making me excited for you guys! :D

Glad you got the 8-miler in. Lives always seem to get in the way of running ;)

Our magicbands came last week. 20 days until we arrive, I can't believe how close we are.
