BIG, LONG RUN SCHEDULED FOR THIS WEEKEND
After a couple of shorter Saturday runs, we are set for the next long run this Saturday. The marathon groups are scheduled to do a 23-miler. So, Chris will be leading our Blue group on that one. My modified plan to still get me to our local marathon in November has me running 17. I'm worried about that and just unsure what is best to do. I will for sure still plan to drop back down to the Pink group and run with them at a slower pace with a :60/:30 interval. That served me well on the 13 miler I ran a few weeks ago, but that was before the PF really kicked in. This weekend will likely be my make or break decision on running the half or full for November. I did run on Tuesday this week and the foot wasn't bad while I was running, but then got pretty sore during the day at work.

The smarter move is for me to probably drop back to the half although that makes me sad. We went to a happy hour thing on Tuesday night that Bass Pro hosts every year to celebrate the running festival. Our group leader was given an award which was so cool for her. She was completely surprised and really touched. They also revealed the medal and somehow I had totally missed that this is the 10 year anniversary of the running festival. The medal is AWESOME. Actually I love all their medals typically as they are conservation/outdoor based and usually really pretty. This year, it's a spinner in honor of the anniversary. And, you know I'm a total sucker for anniversary bling! Luckily the medal is a spinner for both the half and the full, so even if I dropped back to the half, I still get that nice anniversary bling.
I did go ahead and order one of these socks to sleep in to try and combat the PF

Looks pretty torturous to me and I suspect will make sleeping difficult, but I just wanted to try every possible solution to keep running through this PF. I ordered it from Amazon since I couldn't find one local. Hoping it arrives today and that I can actually sleep with it on. Wish me luck!
One the running clothing front, I got an email yesterday from INKnBurn with an announcement for preorders for their Christmas items...

LOVE!LOVE!LOVE! Although I do wish the cable knit capris were tights, but that's a minor quibble. I've been on a list to try and buy the old Holiday shirts and white cable knit tights for awhile, so no reason for me to even pretend that I'm not going to order these. I can't wait until I can get my hands on them. I'm never going to have money again. Sigh.
That's it for the current updates and I realize it's been awhile since I posted an RDP, so here ya go.... Around mile 25 of the marathon back in 2014 I believe. I remember feeling so bad for poor Sleeping Beauty as we were hot, sweaty messes and yet she will put her pretty little princess arms around us. That's royal dedication right there, people!
