oooook. I'm back with day 6 on board!
Day 6: Squeezing everything in that we can before our sad departure
Our morning starts at MGM. We had only been there once for a couple hours whe the weater was icky, so I was hoping to have a much better time this trip. We had an 11:30 ADR at the Sci-Fi Dine In, so there was no rush to get to the park, but there was a lot of stuff we wanted to catch anyways.
We kinda just were walking around going through things as we came to them.. we got there at opening and had time to kill before Beauty and the Beast.
LOVED this mermaid fountain!! I was happy to see Splash had some recognition and the mermaid power was going strong.. lol!
Now, for the entire trip we had been watching Power Rangers everynight on one of the Disney Channels, so we HAD to get a picture with at least one. Sadly, they didnt have any Power Rangers from the episodes we grew up with, and they were about to leave just as we were getting there. But we hopped in a pink ranger line quick (she was always my favorite, and I was her for Halloween when I was little once) and got to see her right before she left.
We quickly realized we had like, 5 minutes to get over to Beauty and the Beast. We got there in time, but there were no seats left and our only option was the little section at the very top which was completly in the sun. We tried sitting there for a couple minutes, but as beads of sweat were pouring off our faces, we decided to just stand and watch in the shade. Worked out well I supposed...
After the show, we walked over a little early for our Sci-Fi ADR. BUT... on the way we saw some characters out.. and not just any characters... but MARIE from Aristocats. If you recall from my day at Epcot, she was the one and only person I had a goal of finding, and low and behold, our last day.. there she was at MGM! I was so excited. We got in line, but she was LEAVING. I bolted after the CM that was with her asking if she would be back... 12:10. Our ressie was for 11:30, so we had some fast eating to do. We got in at Sci-Fi, very cool atmosphere, and quickly looked at the menu. We decided to order everything we wanted at once so we wouldnt have to keep waiting for the waiter to come back. After the first round, Geoff started to not feel well. Hamburgers were next and by then, my stomach was getting iffy. We hadn't really eaten for the day, so we made sure to get some food in us, but didnt want to risk getting sick. We think because we went from such a hot, bright sunny place to inside where is was rather cold and dark maybe something messed up out appetite and after eating onion rings and spinich dip we started feeling gross. Plus the fact that we were rushed to get out and catch my white kitty in time. We asked for dessert to go, and felt really really bad leaving so much of the food untouched, it really was good, but we didnt want to regret it later.
On the way out, we saw Sully and Mike and virtually no line and we still had a couple minutes before Marie. So we hopped in for a picture...
And then we just waited in the spot, and we were first in line! She came out and I was so excited.. I ran up to her and was like.. "I have a white kitty just like you!" lol.. like she cared. It was definitly the most childish moments of the trip, but at the same time, one of my favorites. I was just so excited.
After getting Marie first, we caught a couple others that were around.
Before heading out, we went to the Animation Studio. Very awesome, I would love to go back when we have more time to use there to take more stuff in. I was really sad that we missed the Ratatouille guys by like 10 seconds because that movie was AWESOME. Geoff was excited for the Incredibles though, being a super hero fan.
We walked through and I loved all the Little Mermaid art!!!
We headed to a bus for Epcot to grab a fastpass for Soarin'. And let me tell you what a pain it was to ride all the way over there, have to walk all the way to the Land section, go downstairs, grab the fastpass and leave. lol. Luckily the wait was around 6 hours again, but that was good for us this time since we wanted to hit up Blizzard Beach in outr time inbetween. So after getting back to CSR, we swim suited up and took the short ride down the street to Blizzard Beach.
Of course the first thing we hit up was the lazy river...
We were sad when we found out that the one big tube ride was closed, but just as we were about to leave they made an announcement that it was reopening. So we jetted up and had no wait.
We were cooled off enough and went back to the resort to wait for our fastpass time to come up. But of course on the trip back we got all hot again so we went back in the pool there. (Plus we had a couple more pictures to use up on the water camera)
We cleaned up, made the long treck back to Soarin' (and it looked like it was about to storm pretty badso we RAN) and got in line for Fastpass. There was absolutly no organization there, no wonder the waits are so long. There was no definite line for fastpass so a CM told us to walk right up the front and this one man was screaming at us going "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME! THE LINE IS BACK THERE!" I wanted to punch him and be like... then get in the line already then. Then we are waiting in line and had the most annoying family in front of us.They must have been two familys together who were traveling with older kids, around 16/17 I would say and the one dad kept doing that noise the bird in Nemo makes. Over and over and over. Although I did enjoy when we got to move up in front of everyone and ride before them because we were only a party of 2 so we got to pass like.. 20 people. I'm a terrible person, lol.
When we walked out, it still hadnt started raining yet, and just as we made it to the fountain area is started to pour. We were stuck under a little tarp for about 20 minutes.
After the rain had stopped, we did some last minute shopping and headed back to the Pepper Market for one last time. We also decided that we should talk a walk around the rest of the resort to see the different sections around. By the time we got back to our room the sad phase of packing up began and we went to sleep for the last time in Disney World before having to return home
