Hands down... BEST vacation of my life (ps: tons of pictures)

Your trip report is great. You and your DBF are really cute together and you look like you are having a blast. Your pictures are awesome as well. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

Day 5: Animal Kingdom

Having never been to Animal Kingdom, I was pumped to experience a brand new park. We had 8:50 ADRs for Donalds Breakfastosaurus, so it was going to be an early morning. Our resort was right down the road from the park, so it was a nice short ride :) Making our way through Dinoland, we arrived for breakfast. They took this cute picture before we went in. Well... cute if a dinosaur trying to eat my head is cute...
n47600221_30286853_7753.jpg

Geoff was really psyched for this meal. When he was younger he wanted to be a palentologist and was waaaayyy into dinosaurs, so when I told him we were going to be eating at this place be was really looking forward to it. Another buffet breakfast, we had a fruit bar with krispie kream doughnuts and cereal, and another bar with eggs, bacon, pancakes (regular and chocolate chip) and other stuff I am forgetting. haha. There were all kinds of dino artifacts on the walls and soon Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald made their way into the room with their Dino Scout outfits on.

n47600221_30286865_710.jpg
n47600221_30286866_961.jpg

Geoff was dying to do the Dinosaur ride, and I... was scared to death to do it. But we hopped in line as we saw there was little wait. As much as I tried to use the excuse that we shouldnt do any rides after we just ate, we knew the lines would get much longer if we waited later in the day. The entire time in line I was so nervous and could feel my stomach doing sommersalts.. as we've established... I'm a baby. Although seeing Claire Huxtable from the Cosbys in one of the videos before entering the ride was exciting as I LOVE the Cosby show. When it was finally our turn on the ride, I sat down with my already sweating hands squeezing Geoff's. I was fine for the first.. I don't know... 45 seconds, haha. After I saw a huge thing EATING another dinosaur, that did it for me. I continued the rest of the ride with my head cupped inbetween Geoffs neck and head and covered my ears as there was loud noises and dinos breathing all over you. As it ended, Geoff was like.. "You know, they snapped a picture at some point in the ride... YOU are gonna look great" and sure enough we walk out to see the pictures and there I am all hidden in his shoulder. I tried to make myself look better by saying the girl behind us was crying.. but Geoff said she was about 4 and actually kept her eyes open :rolleyes1

Here's a couple more pics. before heading out to explore the rest of the park
n47600221_30286868_1485.jpg

His Dinosaur face... which sadly... I knew of the first day I met him, lol
n47600221_30286869_1729.jpg
n47600221_30286870_1987.jpg

We wern't in any rush to get somewhere at a certain time, so we just walked around and went to things as we ran into them. The landscaping along the way was beautiful.
n47600221_30286871_2255.jpg

Then we spotted this guy and both Geoff and I were soooo excited. Of course, we were the cut off for "Don't worry he'll be back in 5 minutes. Just getting a glass of water". But it was worth it to meet BALOO!
n47600221_30288988_3348.jpg

Later we passed by and saw King Louie, so we got in line, and of course we got the cut off again with "He'll be right back" and Baloo came back out

We did some of the walking paths which was really nice since it was all shaded.
n47600221_30288990_3888.jpg

I love this picture... he's looking right at the camera!!!
n47600221_30288989_3615.jpg

There were a couple spots where Geoff had to do a quick walk through of those little houses that you go through to made sure there were no spiders, as I have severe arachnophobia, which was a good thing cause there was a spider sitting in one

I'm going to continue on in another post as it only lets me post so many pictures....bahh

...Animal Kingdom con't

Next we made our way on over to Rafiki's Planet Watch. We were really hoping to find him as we kept chanting, "Rafiki! Rafiki!" the entire morning, and sure enough we walk through to a building to find Pocahontas and Rafiki himself. No one was really interesting in Poch, and she was honestly just standing around watching people, so we went up for a picture with her
n47600221_30286873_2767.jpg
n47600221_30286874_3019.jpg

But of course we were more excited for this guy..
n47600221_30286875_3268.jpg
n47600221_30286876_3532.jpg

ps: at this point, Geoff was getting a little jealous at all the kisses I was getting from the all the characters, haha

Love this picture btw... can you see any resembelence?
n47600221_30286877_3788.jpg

After making our way back from the Planet Watched we headed for the Safari, which we grabbed fastpasses for earlier. For it being pretty hot in the afternoon already, I was surpised at how many animals were out for that time...
n47600221_30286879_4277.jpg

n47600221_30286882_5027.jpg

n47600221_30286880_4520.jpg

The last one there.. if you look really hard... he's PEEING!!!

We started our trek through Asia...
n47600221_30286883_5311.jpg

to get some fastpasses for the river rapid ride, and started to hear these monkeys from about a mile away...
n47600221_30286884_5570.jpg

The mommy and baby were so cute.. but the whole buch were screaming and talking so loud, it was too funny!

Festival of the Lion King was next. We waited in line, and one thing I loved about AK was they had fans everywhere outside to keep you cool... what a great concept!! Anyways... it was AMAZING. Best show of the entire trip. The acrobatics were incredible and the floats.. the performers. ahhh... just LOVED this show. I really liked how it wasnt just a normal re-inactment of the movie, the whole tribal performing thing was really impressive.
n47600221_30286887_6350.jpg
n47600221_30286886_6111.jpg

n47600221_30286888_6594.jpg
n47600221_30286889_6845.jpg

By the time that was over it was time for the fastpass. Geoff was really looking forward to this ride.. even after reading on here about the accident the week before with the "river of blood" hahaha... we got on.. and you know, its amazing how friendly you become with the people on a ride with you, or on the bus... I sat next to this lady who you would have thought was my nice next door neighbor I babysat for or something... we talked the entire ride about our day at the park and stuff, how we were waiting for the huge waterfalls to hit only our side of the raft, and how much longer it would be til the fall. And then...... the ride ended. haha. Everyone in the raft was really disapponted with it. We were barly wet, but of course I took off my short and stayed in my swim suit and the ONLY part of the shorts that got wet was the croth, so it looked like I peed myself :rotfl:

n47600221_30286891_7376.jpg

Now we were starving.. we circled around the park looking for somewhere to go and settled for Pizzafari. I loved this cat in front of it!
n47600221_30286892_7672.jpg

It was getting hot, we were getting tired, and the Nemo show wasnt for a couple hours yet, so we got our picture by the tree and headed back to the resort...
n47600221_30286890_7097.jpg

While on the way out I was wondering what to get as a remberence from AK, and thought about getting a different themed Mickey from each park. Geoff, being a lover of stuffed animals, took it one step further and wanted to get one of every Mickey we could find. Then it turned into starting a collection of all the characters we could find and everytime we come back we get more... Apparently this was going to be a big decision to make, lol, and we decided on talking about what we wanted back at the hotel. But of course in line for the bus as I was looking through my pictures from the day I DROPPED the camera. Naturally the first thing I blurt out is "S***!" which I think highly offended the family in front of us as they made it a point to actually MOVE AWAY from us on the bus after sitting next to us. It happens, what can I say :confused3 This had me really upset though, because of course I thought the worse and was freaking out that we wouldnt have any pictures for the rest of the trip if it died on us. Luckily theres only a small chip in the corner and the bottom piece only lifted a little, and it still works perfectly. whew!

Anyways.. go for a swim at the pool back home...
n47600221_30287008_320.jpg
n47600221_30287009_573.jpg

we shower and dress to head back to Downtown Disney on a quest to start the stuffed animal collection.
n47600221_30286894_8174.jpg
n47600221_30286895_8450.jpg

We walk out with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisey, Pluto, and Goofy. The collection begins and we make our way back to eat at the glorious Pepper Market for the ?-th time, and fall asleep to the ritual Power Rangers that has been playing every night of our stay.

Next up... back to the Magic Kingdom where we meet LOTS of characters!!! :goodvibes

I just found your trip report. I love all the pictures and your narrative. I can't believe you dropped your camera at Animal Kingdom! I dropped mine at the bird show. Future travelers to AK need to be forewarned about the camera curse.

I love the little poses you make by the various statues. My husband and I do that too. He needs to add the dino face to his repertoire. ;)

I’m loving your trip report! All your pictures are so cute!
The first time I went on the dino ride at AK I was 19 and came off crying, it’s so scary! Glad you made it through.
Can’t wait to read more!

Awesome trip report! You guys do make such a cute couple! Speaking of cameras, what kind of camera do you have? Your pictures are great!

I so glad that your camera was okay because I really enjoy looking at your pictures. Also, I wouldn't worry about a little curse word slipping out. I sure that most of us have been guilty of that a time or two. ;) The people I hate to be standing next to are the ones where every other word is a curse word, and some really nasty ones too (I don't think I need to elaborate here).

Looking forward to your next post. :)

:cool1: haha thanks. I was a once and done s***. no more nasties coming from my mouth in such a magical place.

your TR! Great pics and descriptions of the rides. I wrote a few things down so I'll know what my DD won't enjoy. Thanks for the tips! popcorn::

Ok... scrolled quickly through page one and am loving your pics! I will def be back to read the rest! :goodvibes

Day 6: Magic Kingdom

Considering how I did the first time we did MK in the morning, we were sure to get a good nights sleep the night before. We got there just in time to see the end of the openening ceremony, but didn't really get to see anything :( This time breakfast was a MUST DO before anymore migranes kicked in. We got some french toast loaves at the bakery (yum yum!) and went for a fastpass for Space Mountain. (coaster + just eating = not good) We went on our way and decided to head back to Main Street to try and find some characters!

n47600221_30286799_9918.jpg
n47600221_30286800_165.jpg

We passed by a photopass guy taking pictures in front of the castle, who was really rude because "a show was passing by soon"... to which we saw come by.. and was no where near where we were standing. He totally rushed our picture and didnt even get the whole castle in the shot, but it still came out cute I think.
n47600221_30286801_392.jpg

(It's called hold it the vertically you silly fool!)

We found these little guys front and center! Waiting in line was getting so hot!! Let me tell you... those Mickey ears get hot on your head! haha. Chip and Dale were adorable.. fighting over giving me cute chipmunk kisses! I love how this picture turned out with the castle and main street building in the background!
n47600221_30286802_631.jpg

After that we just strolled around, walking off breakfast before Space Mountain. Hook and Smee were a good time
n47600221_30286803_876.jpg

And Brer Fox was a little nicer to us than he was to Brer rabbit!
n47600221_30286804_1124.jpg

Space Mountain was next!! It was my first time on the ride and I was so excited! (not about to pee my pants, a nice change of pace for me, I know!) It was amazing! Definitly glad that I did it.

On our way to Toon Town we saw the Tweedles out by the tea cups!! Surprise Surprise, the family in front of us for the "Right Back... 5 minutes" speil, but it worked out in the end cause not only did they come back.. but Alice and the Mad Hatter came too! It was cute that before Alice and Hatter got in a spot for pictures they actually went on the tea cup ride together! The Tweedles were handing out packs of sugar to all the kids too, the parents just looked at them confused. it was so funny!

n47600221_30286806_1598.jpg
n47600221_30286808_2077.jpg

Alice and the Mad Hatter were great. Alice asked me my name, Hatter asked Geoff his and then they introduced us to each other, lol! There was some creepster who took our picture when the CM was using our camera, which was weird. And for the record, I WAS wearing shorts under my dress, they just ruched up with when I pull the skirt up, haha.

We were now ready for Toon Town!
n47600221_30286807_1835.jpg

So off to Minnies house we went!
n47600221_30286809_2312.jpg

We were sad that it was Pluto at the end of her house and not Minnie. We passed since we already saw him at the Breakfastosaurus.

Making our way to the Hall of Fame, we got in the long line for Minnie, Daisey, and Donald.
n47600221_30286811_2780.jpg
n47600221_30286812_3027.jpg

n47600221_30286813_3303.jpg

Geoff was happy that he got some kisses from characters now, lol! And Minnie... was wayyy skinny. Her legs were like rails, she needed some cheese or something!

We went through Mickeys house and then got in line to meet the big cheese himself!
n47600221_30286814_3549.jpg
n47600221_30286815_3784.jpg

After Toon Town we went over to Adventureland to get some fastpasses for Jungle Cruise and saw the Aladdin gang. Right before we got up, Genie disappeared for a minute and we were bummed he wouldnt be in our picture, but he came out right as our turn came, yayy!!
n47600221_30286816_4030.jpg

We sat down for a bit in the sade to cool down before getting up for Jungle Cruise.
n47600221_30286817_4277.jpg
n47600221_30286818_4535.jpg

Our ADR at Crystal Palace wasnt for a bit, so we walked through the stores on Main Street and tried a different photopass photog. for a picture...
n47600221_30286819_4812.jpg

Up next... Dinner with the Pooh family and our last night at MK! :(

Crystal Palace was next!!! Very nice restaurant... I loved all the windows and lighting!
n47600221_30286820_5065.jpg
n47600221_30286830_7566.jpg

We got there just as one of the "parades" were coming through. The characters would march around with little signs to a song and all the kids would follow behind them. It was cute once we figured out what was going on! Eeyore actually ran into a chair and table TWICE, lol! (We think he was a little drunk, haha!) We got in line for the buffet and the guys who were cutting the meats were in a world of their own. He gave me a slab of turkey, and i noticed they only had beef gravy out, so after trying to get his attention for like a minute (as he was obviously indulged in a very deep conversation with his co workers) I asked where turkey gravy was.. he pointed to the beef and told me I could use that. It was a little annoying, but I used the mashed potatoes to cover it up. ha. It took awhile for the characters to make their way to us. We had to sit around long after we were done eating to get our pictures and meet them. But they were so cute and for once we didnt have to wait in the beating sun in a line to meet someone.

Tigger was awesome. He told Geoff to cross his arms for the pose so they would both look tough, lol!
n47600221_30286821_5309.jpg
n47600221_30286822_5562.jpg

Our drunken little friend.
n47600221_30286823_5812.jpg
n47600221_30286824_6055.jpg

Ok, someone please clear this up for us... Piglet... what is it? boy or girl. We thought it rude to ask "it", :rotfl2:
n47600221_30286825_6298.jpg
n47600221_30286826_6550.jpg

And last but not least, Pooh Bear himself. Geoff and I call each other "poo"... weird I know.. lol... so we call this picture the 3 poo(h)s!
n47600221_30286827_6804.jpg
n47600221_30286828_7046.jpg

We headed on out, got a few more pictures and went for a nap before our last night at the MK :(
n47600221_30286831_7814.jpg
n47600221_30286832_8077.jpg

:::::::::::::::::::: nap ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

ta da! Back at the MK we hit up Splash Mountain to complete all the "Mountain" rides. (nice face Geoff)
n47600221_30286833_8326.jpg

Then we did the carousel and I finally convinced Geoff to to Dumbo!!
n47600221_30286834_8583.jpg
n47600221_30286835_8853.jpg

n47600221_30286837_9366.jpg

While on Dumbo, we saw Terk come out!!!

n47600221_30286836_9110.jpg

Geoff was still on the stuffed animal kick and was possibly wanting the Pooh family. So we walked into the store, and came out with Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore  Sadly that doesnt end the collection for the trip! After getting that many Pooh things, I insisted we had to at least go on the ride, lol
n47600221_30286838_9618.jpg
n47600221_30286839_9861.jpg

We had some food in Tomorrowland, (a chicken and rib meal-- $14--- as a counter service on the DDP), had one last picture at the castle, and said goodbye as 1am was approaching :(
n47600221_30286840_103.jpg

Next up: Our last day!!!! MGM, Epcot, and Blizzard Beach!

What a fun trip report!!

I love all the pics, and I totally understand about crying at the MK...I had a moment like that myself. But hey, you get over it, and then you start having such a fantastic time, you forget all about it! :thumbsup2

Your Trip Report is great.... I am about 20x more excited than I was before I read!!!!!
It is so exciting to have a fellower DISer with similar plans- and being able to help and see everything laid out like Coral Reef and the MemoriesBySarah... I can not wait for our trip!!!!
I loooove your little mermaid tank- I need to loose a little weight but I got 2 Ariel shirts for our first day...
The first one is purple and says "Dreaming of someplace better" (for our travels) and the second one is white and says "It's good to be Princess" for MK. I want to visit Ariels Grotto when I have mine on too! I love all your pics- my favorite is the one with Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie... I am going to be a character picture ***** this trip! lol!
BTW, your camera is great- love the castle at night pictures!! :thumbsup2

It is so hard to fit everything in isn't it? But I am amazed at all you saw... lots of late nights are fun at WDW too. The Crystal Palace... WOW! I have never been there and can't wait!

Thanks for sharing!

Ok, someone please clear this up for us... Piglet... what is it? boy or girl. We thought it rude to ask "it", :rotfl2:
n47600221_30286825_6298.jpg
n47600221_30286826_6550.jpg

everrytime we go to CP that is our common topic of conversation... everytime Piglet comes on our table... I whisper in HIS ear... hey Piglet... tell me the truth ar eyou aboy or a girl :lmao: the 3rd trip I asked this Piglet grab a paper and wrote "you asked me that last year" I thought he was just pulling my leg for I bet alot have asked him tha question.. I said are you sure ?? and he nod and wrote it was also on your bday! So that was a good feeling when CM remembers you... I think! And If you ever go there again and see Abdella and or "Barbara with a B" thats how she introduced herself ... to funny.. tell her that her long lost daughter from 'nam says hello :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 More great pics. Such a detailed and fun report to read. For the record I think Piglet is a boy.
