Hello Friends -

I hope someone can help me.

Early December I am taking 2 of my best friends to the Yacht or Beach Club for a week. Jay has Parkinsons and although he can walk, slowly, we will have a wheelchair for his visit.

My question......

I know the configuration of a standard room at these resorts and actually the layout of a Handicap Room at the Wilderness Lodge  . Does anyone here know the layout of a Handicap Room at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

I am debating if I should add this request to the reservation.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sometimes I have found our knowledge  of the resorts surpasses the regular res agents at Central Res for WDW.

Thanks for your advice!

Thanks again!!! :grouphug:

Although we didin't need a handicap room, we were given one when we stayed in May. They seem to be similiar to the standard rooms, the bathroom isn't split, sinks/toilet /shower in one large room.
The doors are automatic, you can press a button to open/close.
It didin't have a daybed, just 2 queens. Our view was of the main courtyard with a full balcony. (Sorry, can't remember the room number- think it was the 3rd floor) Hope this helps!

We had one at BC some years ago and it was as Eeyore described except we did have a daybed too. We're a family of 5 so we needed it.

The bathroom was very easy to negotiate.
