For those of you who have been to WDW recently (masks) or just go in the summer, do you carry small handheld fans to use while walking around? If so, could you possibly post a picture of what it looks like. We're going in September and I know it's going to be hot and the masks will make it hotter so I want to make sure I'm ordering the correct fan. Thanks!

We went to Disney last year and some friends had those cooling fans that also spray water. Frankly, when I tried it found they were useless and just made you feel hot/wet/sticky. Also one more thing to lug around the park all day.

I like Opolar fans. I love the hand held fans, the neck fans and the waist fan.

I am not great with a mask, even inside with the A/C on. I am clausterphobic, so having the hand held fan on me helps a lot.

My wife likes to use Neck Fan. We bought Summerace Hands Free Bladeless Neck Fan
. You can try their Neck Fan. They are of very good quality. My wife has a leg problem, but she loves to go for a walk. When the summer comes, she brings a Neck Fan that I bought for her to go for a walk. She likes this neck fan very much.

I was in my local Walgreens the other day and they had handheld fans. I can't remember exactly where they were, but they were not in the aisle with the seasonal stuff. Near toys and household goods, I think.

We have something like this. DW bought it a few years ago. It's great on a hot day when you're standing in a queue that doesn't have much air moving through it. It's definitely not something that we keep out all day as we walk around. We just use it for those hot, humid times standing in line.

I saw a lot of people with the fans that go around your neck..

I have 2 of these we are going to try out when we go in two weeks.

plus I have something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/OPOLAR-Handh...&keywords=handheld+fan&qid=1621256932&sr=8-14
And we also go “old school” and bring 1 per person of the fold up human-powered fans that don’t require batteries or recharging or any of that. Bought them at Cost Plus Imports for $3 a piece a few years ago. WDW sells plastic Disney versions of these now for about $10. Ours are made out of bamboo and fabric.

I think I am going to drag out our neck fans. We found them useless last August because the Masks seemed to negate their usefulness. The just blew on the mask.

I have 4 different fans to test this summer. Unless one is really bad, each of my 4 family members will use one at the parks. I'll report back, although it might be too late for OP...

Here are the ones we're going to try:

96 degrees today and humid here (where I live, not FL). We were out for DC's hip hop recital from 1-3pm. Tested the fans.

#1 was pretty good
#2 not great (I wouldn't bother with a small mister like this - if you have the space and can do a bigger one with ice water, that might work better)
#3 not great
#4 (forgot I had this one so didn't take it - it is similar to #1 but with a handle so I think it would be good)

The tornado-style, enclosed fans seem to have an advantage over the exposed blade fans. And the more power, the better, obviously. One thing I like about the first one is how small it is. Easy to put in a pack if you're trying to minimize stuff.
